View Full Version : Best Triple Axel by a male skater (Pick 3)

Which THREE singles male skaters do the best triple axel?

Weir's axel always looked odd to me. The way he lifts his head makes it look like it's very hard work. Yags axel like his other jumps, while big, wasn't the most graceful looking and he tended to land very hard. Voted for Petrenko and Kulik.
And Matt Savoie for all those incredible entries that no one else is capable of! :respec:

Kulik and Lindemann (and now Gachinski) also executed 3A out of spread eagle and their 3A-s were much, much better than Savoie's who had difficult entries but very ugly jumps.

I always thought Viacheslav Zagorodniuk had one of the biggest 3axels. His height and ice coverage were amazing.
Here is a good one at the 40 second mark of the clip

If this poll was not limited to men, I would have placed Midori Ito on it.:)

i'm SOOOOOOOOOO shocked not to see Stephane Lambiel and Adam Rippon on this list!:lol::lol: (Considering the rest of their skating, the heck with the 3A!)

yuzuru hanyu with his 3A-3A sequence

I find Kozuka's 3 A smooth as butter
Kulik's was amazing and yeah...Midori should me in the list (of best 3axel)

The best is, IMO, Kulik's
I loved Kurt Bowning's : http://youtu.be/2SxtqOEi6og?t=17s
And Alexei Urmanov's : http://youtu.be/aBBvnxPtwh0?t=1m9s (I'm not fond of the 3Toe at the end, but I like his 3Axels in general)

Brezina, Hanyu, and Song
Then from juniors, Han Yan, Joshua Farris, and Keiji Tanaka all have very nice, strong 3a jumps, better than most of the seniors now that I think about it.
