I'm partial to nude. I've fallen in love with nude pumps, it goes with everything!

I think that vibrant blue with red is a bit much (but I live in DC, not Jersey :P). I like the Rochelle in black if you can wear that super heel!

 Actually, the blue is not as vibrant as the photo suggests. And I probably would never actually wear them with a red dress :). One of the saleswomen I am close to at Bloomingdales suggested it, but she's younger and a little hipper than I am. If they were navy, I would consider, but I am not the quintessential Jersey Girl :D I actually got them to wear with jeans, they are just the right shade of blue to wear with dressy denim.

The Rochelle is what I was thinking too - great minds, and all of that. I think the nude would be too washed out for the red. I've had the red dress for a while, so no photo available :(

This is the dress I got for an August wedding (very special friend's daughter getting married): http://www1.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/diane-von-furstenberg-dress-zooann-stretch?ID=610622&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results. I think the nude should work well with it.

Wow. You HAVE to be tall to carry off that fabric. You should cut quite a swath in that!

 5" 10" with 4" heels, the height is covered! The only disturbing part is that the drape of the top mimics the drape of my body - sag, sag, sag! But, I do have some attitude :D.

Slightly random question, but I seem to be doing that a lot lately :). Saw someone wearing a very pretty sleeveless silk top that was a-line shaped and had small petal/pleats. It looked similar to this Theory top, but the 'petals' were actually separated towards the bottom of the top. Does anyone know what brand it might be?

Couldn't find anything. It could be that it is not from this year.

Just loan it to Kate and you'll know about an hour after she wears it!

Yes, but then it will be either from some obscure Brittish store or it will be so $$$$$$$, that who could afford it.

I said no more shopping all summer. :shuffle: But I haven't bought anything for PRkid in months and months, and she's been working hard and saving her money. She also lost twenty pounds and had a dearth of shorts that fit her.

One trip to Loft & Urban Outfitters later, she has a new skirt, two new pairs of shorts (which I don't think should cost $40 but they do) and two tank tops. I have two new cotton skirts, incredibly lightweight, from Loft. Both inexpensive, washable and size 8. :cheer2:

More bills. But still, $200 for all that isn't bad.

Going to two weddings in the next few weeks. On Sat, bought this (http://i.ebayimg.com/t/BCBG-Gray-Satin-Strapless-Evening-Gown-Cocktail-Prom-Short-Dress-Flower-Belt-2-/00/s/MTAyNFg1ODY=/$%28KGrHqJ,!hoE7lIQheSeBO7TQo0%28eQ~~60_12.JPG)for $35 on ebay, received it today. (Yay for Priority Mail from SoCal  ) It could even work as my sister's bridemaid dress, since it matches the yarn I bought for her bolero almost EXACTLY. I rock. :D

The only thing is that it's hits mid-calf, when I want it to hit just above my knees. The listing did say it was knee-length, but maybe the seller is just really tall? Off to the tailor's tomorrow! I'm not sure how much hemming it will cost since there's a crinoline layer underneath as well as a lining, but hey, I'm going to be wearing it more than once, so it's more of an investment than my wedding dress!

On me, it would hit mid-knee ! Very pretty - enjoy!

Not to mention, visually lengthens the leg. ;)
