Presenting the shrug (http://www.marie-may.com/2012/06/shrug.html) that I was supposed to wear to my friends wedding. I ♥ it!
Cute! Is the pattern on Ravelry?

One of my wedding projects is to knit a bolero for myself (http://handmadebyfasola.blogspot.com/2010/03/matrimonio-bolero.html)and my sister (http://www.flickr.com/photos/15462793@N03/4884479426) (bridesmaid) in case it's chilly that day. And maybe a sweater for my mom (http://berroco.com/exclusives/aidez/aidez.html) if I'm not bored enough. :shuffle:

No, I made it up based on a stitch. My Ravelry info on it (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/MarieMay/black-shrug)

That patterns you linked are gorgeous! Wow, if you're able to knit all of those, thumbs up to you. Those pieces would be absolutely priceless!

You two are so talented! And Patient! I can crochet, but can't knit. I'm so jealous!

The learning curve for knitting can be steep (hint: DO NOT start on metal needles!) but I love the look of the stitches. I think it's mostly patience.

I've also never knit clothing, so we shall see how this goes. :shuffle: My first foray at socks wasn't actually too bad, so hopefully this goes well!

Anita, that's a great suit, your guy will look great.

And I am here to report that the famous dress and jacket (and I did NOT remove the jacket all night, for one thing it was cold and it turned out to be a decorous crowd) did its work. :D

I only have one right now and it's cropped high. Wait til Monday and I'll get more.

I even got my hair blowdried by a dead ringer for Katy Perry who got it done, well, in half an hour. If you ever need emergency hair in downtown SF I have just the place!

Sigh. I am so un-photogenic it's not funny. And there are no full-body shots with the dress on, so this will have to do. (I'm in the middle). http://www.flickr.com/photos/new_israel_fund/7450829424/in/set-72157630313085604

I don't know why you think you're not photogenic. You look great, and I love the dress! :)

PRLady - We rarely see ourselves as others do, so trust me on this - you look fantastic. The dress was perfect for the occasion and you look like a million bucks in it.

:o

I really hate every photo of me. And this doesn't do the dress justice because it's only half of it, but whatever. Thanks.
