Thank you, ladies! I took in a lot of your suggestions such as looking for a fitted dress vs. a poufy skirt since I'm so short, patent nude pumps, and black evening clutch. I've learned so much from you guys and I'm now addicted to browsing around for dresses and shoes.:D
Looking at the photos again, my hair is fading back to brown, I need to recolor it black ASAP!

Again, you look so beautiful. If you don't have a picture of the dress, describe it to us, please. I am so glad things worked out for you!

I just took a picture of it, via phone, so colors are a bit off. The dress (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mariemay/7406007688/)

It looks, in a word, perfect.

I second the word, perfect. Though I will add, you make the dress even lovelier.

Ditto. You're gorgeous! (and it's funny that you started this thread when frankly, honey, you would look great in a flour sack.)

Thanks, everyone! As soon as I saw the dress I knew it was the one. Would you believe I won it on ebay for $7, $10 shipping included!

I'm glad you guys like this thread. I know I need it, being a stay at home mom for over 10 years, I forgot more clothes existed other than jeans and t-shirts, lol. I'm using this thread as a guide since I'm completely starting over with my wardrobe.

Some of my best designer "finds" have come from eBay.

So how did that Anthropologie lace column dress work out for you, dear? I'm just jealous I had to give mine back. :(

:shuffle: Well, to recap: the very last one in my size from the SF store had what looked like a cigarette burn. So they had their store in NYC mail one to me. It works--not for the beach wedding but for another occasion in August. For the wedding I got a red BCBG. Will link when I get home.
