If the Kaylas don't work because of the strap, try these: http://www.zappos.com/naot-footwear-antigua-metallic-road-leather-silver-threads-leather-sterling-leather?zfcTest=fw:1. People with a high arch, including my SIL, swear by them.

I have a high instep (top of the foot), not arch. Those are really cute, but they would NEVER fit me — I just tried on a similar-cut pair from Target and they were loose over the toes and I couldn't even get the top bit on. I basically buy shoes that only go over my toes, because any time straps that go higher than that, they almost never fit. Glad we can all bond over our weird foot issues

Thanks for the links for wide shoes! I think I'm just going to have to accept that I can't buy $15 shoes from Payless and Target. :shuffle: My feet are :glamor:

Soft Spots have some really nice looking sandals and reviews say that even the wides run wide. I'm going to order a pair or two from Zappos to see how they fit. :D

I am having such trouble finding a beach cover up for some reason. :drama: All I want is something without a flashy print and a neutral color and not too baggy. Doesn't seem to exist in my size. Something like this would work but it only comes in L. http://aquabeachwear.com/?controller=product&path=307&product_id=1557

Victoria's Secret usually has a pretty wide selection of cover ups.

Urban Outfitter. Half their stuff is meant to be layered so don't be put off by plunging necklines or racerbacks, the teenagers wear them over the (equally affordable) tank tops.

I love their stuff, I wish they had been around when I was that age.

Agree, they are owned by Anthropologie (or maybe it's vice versa). Urban Outfitter, Anthropologie and Free People are all the same company. And in that order, they are priced low to high. Another option is Madewell. Madewell is J.Crew's younger line. And another option is Hollister. Hollister is Abercrombie & Fitch's less expensive line.

thanks :)

I have a pair of Softspots heels and they are SUPER comfy. Definitely recommend them!

But unfortunately as with every other shoe, I still need ankle straps with them. I tried going 6W with one of their flats, still didn't work. :(

vesperholly--can you just wear t-straps? Sorry if I missed specific details over what you're looking for, but for wide feet on a budget, you can find t-straps that adjust to any width foot.

Don't know if this shoe adjusts, but this is the style I'm thinking of:
http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10243&skuId=096617070&productId=71617&lotId=096617&category=&catdisplayName=Womens

Here are some others that do adjust:
http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10243&skuId=097165110&productId=71629&lotId=097165&category=&catdisplayName=Womens

http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10243&skuId=096351070&productId=71612&lotId=096351&category=&catdisplayName=Womens

http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10285&skuId=096621080&productId=70991&lotId=096621&category=&catdisplayName=Womens

http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10285&skuId=094087095&productId=70985&lotId=094087&category=&catdisplayName=Womens

A couple of them have sliding t-straps so if you need to adjust to a very wide setting, the t-strap can be slid to still sit in the middle of your foot.

Would that style work for you? They are all from Payless, and some are under $10.

You know what I wear for coverups? On-sale big shirts from Chico's. Their stuff is too bright and gimmicky for everyday wear, IMO, and works fine at the beach and the pool.

I was about to suggest, almost, the same thing. A men's shirt makes a nice cover-up. But, Chico's would probably fit better.

IceAlisa, you didn't find anything here?: http://www.everythingbutwater.com/swimwear/browse/cover-ups/cover-ups.html
How about this one: http://www1.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/magicsuit-hoodie-dress-coverup?ID=620102&CategoryID=5609&LinkType=#fn=SWIMSUIT_STYLE_M%3DCover%20Up%26spp%3 D55%26ppp%3D96%26sp%3D1%26rid%3D37
This one is striped, but it might work: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/kenneth-cole-reaction-cover-up-three-quarter-sleeve-striped-hooded-tunic?ID=648617&CategoryID=8699&LinkType=#fn=SWIM_STYLE%3DCover-Up%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D33%26ruleId%3D58%26slotId%3D18

Cute suit, BTW.

I like your suggestions, cruisin. Thanks! I am looking for something plain as my suit is not. If the Bloomies one weren't so dark grey, I'd get it. The Macy's one is cute.

Yes, but consider that your suit will peek through and give it a pop of color :). And it will not show marks as much.

To quote Borat, great success:http://www.everythingbutwater.com/browse/products/eco-swim/eco-covers/47356+38570+119.html I think khaki.

I forgot about that site, very good! :) Thanks again.
