No idea how to dye shoes. :shuffle: I hope someone in here knows if you decide to go that route.

Cruisin, that Vera Wang in mocha is available in 5.5 in San Francisco! ooooo, thank you!!! I'm going to have to get my butt over there this weekend to try it on. If it gets sold, I can at least try the same model then just order the mocha online.

Call the store and ask to put them on hold for you. Or you can purchase on line and do a store pick up. I love the VW, btw. They are quite perfect.

And...here's a review from a woman of color:

I have been searching for months for a nude pump, but everything was too light. I am half asian, half caucasian and tan. These pumps match the color of my skin beautifully! I am normally a 9, but I have noticed that platform pumps tend to slip off my heel. I tried a 1/2 size down, but they were too small. The sales associate put in some pads inside the shoe and voila - problem solved. So excited to have such a beautiful, classic and well made pair of shoes!

Okay, these white shoes don't scream bridal to me, they are acceptable. :) Thoughts?

They come in wide sizes, so those are the only ones I'm considering, at least on Zappos. :P

First pair is the best. Last pair is a no!

And those saying people will see the shoes are correct. I also had a floor length gown and my shoes (flat silver sandals) showed in many pictures. Walking, sitting and especially dancing will reveal your shoes! Make them special. It is a special day.

Second PDilemma's opinion. Leather shoes with chunky stacked heel are just not dressy and delicate enough for your dress.

I like the first pair best too. You could look into some extra stick on padding for the ball of the foot for extra comfort. I think Zappos sells them.

Yes and yes. I still prefer closed toe shoes for a wedding dress that classic, but this is in the ballpark.

[wanders off wondering if PRkid will want to spend no more than $5K on her wedding someday. Hah hah hah.]

Agree about closed toe. My preferred wedding shoe is an almond toe slingback actually.

I like these Foot Petals (http://www.amazon.com/Foot-Petals-Buttercup-Silver-Triple/dp/B001KZAB5S/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1336181576&sr=8-6) a lot. I actually have these Killer Kushionz (Killer Kushionz Full-Foot Cushions) in all of my sandals except for the thong ones. I find them more comfortable than say those gel Dr. Scholl's kinds of pads.

BTW, I just ordered the Vera Wangs... Here's hoping the 5.5 won't be too big and that the color is ok!

I have very arched feet and have to wear inserts in almost all shoes.

Thanks, myhoneyhoney, good to know. :)

You take them to a shoe maker, a bridal salon, or Nordstroms sends out, if you buy them there.

1st piar is nice. I agree that the 3rd pair is too chunky.

Sure, she'll spend $5,000, just on the dress! :D

You could do what I do, order the 5 & 5.5, then return the pair that doesn't fit. I do that if I order jeans. I can be anywhere from a 25 to a 28 depending on cut. If the 5.5 is just a bit big they have these little wing shaped things that stick onto the back of the heel. They actually make the shoes quite comfortable.

Great source

Bluntly, no. Not because you wouldn't look good in it but because it's a clubbing dress, not a wedding-guest dress. (Your husband has typical guy taste, I see.)

Of course he does. What is it with men?

I am not sure about this one. It's more for clubbing than a wedding. Too casually sexy, IOW. Looks a tiny bit like a slip from the days of yore. Go with a dressier look, simple clean silhouette, rich color. But dressier than this one.

Just realized that we reacted almost identically to that red lace dress.

It's not lack of padding at the ball, but lack of space. :shuffle: I have wide feet and narrow heels, which makes most heels and pumps much impossible to walk in. My heels always fall out. I need slingbacks.

Hmm, I actually like the second pair most out of the three. More reviews don't hurt.
