In red or gray? (http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz183/electronicoriental/2011-D/2-117.jpg) I ♥ it and I can wear it to church!

^^That's a tough call. Beautiful dress, very simple.

Hubby wants me in this in red (http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265803822481&c=Page&cid=1334717240040&pagename=vsdWrapper)

Of course he does. What is it with men?

I am not sure about this one. It's more for clubbing than a wedding. Too casually sexy, IOW. Looks a tiny bit like a slip from the days of yore. Go with a dressier look, simple clean silhouette, rich color. But dressier than this one.

Thanks for the tip Ice-Alisa. I searched a bit more and found quite a few dresses I liked (although none as much as the one they discontinued. Figures. )

I liked the one you linked as well.

And I found a few others I like - this one is gorgeous I think but it is probably not very forgiving around the middle, is it?

and I liked this one as well:

And this one for the name alone ;) and the empire style

I think the third one is the most similar to your dream dress. I would amputate the bow.

I like this one - in red.
Elegant and appropriate for a wedding.

I would take the red one as well. Goes better with your colouring.

I wish I could wear dresses like that! :)

I vote red. The grey will not do anything for you. If you're not comfortable with red, I'd go with black. A black dress is always appropriate.

Have you looked here? http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/weddingsandparties.jsp

This is the style I'm thinking for a beaded sweater. Classic, black or ivory. something you can even wear with jeans and a tank.http://couture.zappos.com/product/7826897/color/3 http://www.flickr.com/photos/76982768@N00/4023585199/

I have a black one, similar to the ivory one I posted. My aunt brought it to my grandmother, from Hong Kong, in the late 50's. I probably could never find one like it now. It's a little big on me, but I don't care. Between the fact that it's beautifully hand made and it has sentimental value, I wear it anyway.

OK, yes red, myhoneyhoney. It would stunning with your hair and complexion and of course your lovely figure!

Nude heels are a must.

I prefer the black sweater, cruisin. BTW, your quote about dressing being geometry problem to be solved with shape and color is kind of brilliant! If I were a high couture designer, I would totally steal it. :)

Thanks all! I think I've found the dress. I'm liking the red too, simple dress but the red just commands attention! I was going to ask what kind of shoes next, IceAlisa. Nude... gotta start looking for nude shoes...

Crusin, I like that beaded sweater, can go with so many outfits.

Me too. I would like the ivory one more if it were black. I like the softness of the beading. I just think a black, beaded sweater is something that is almost a staple in any woman's wardrobe. No matter how dressy the occasion, you always have something to put on. In the winter, you can wear it if your dress just won't work with a coat you have. In the summer, every place is air conditioned, so... Plus, you can always dress it down, jeans, a tank, and heels for a more casual night out.

You could wear it with jeans, slacks, a pencil skirt. It could be an outfit maker.

That dress is a great shape. The cap sleeve will make your waist look tiny!

Nude heels go with pretty much anything I have these: http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?catId=100&productId=520965&productGroup=314557

They are beyond comfortable. They are a bit pricey, but they have Nike cushioning in them. I've worn them and been on my feet for 4/5 hours and been completely comfortable.

I found a few more dresses - funnily the ones labeled for bridesmaids and for mother of the bride are more appealing to me...

Anyway - I love this one
http://www.lightinthebox.com/de/a-line-tr-gerlosen-bodenlangen-Satin-Brautjungfer---Hochzeit-Kleid--fsd0230-_p59171.html
with the dress in champagne and the underdress in ivory this would work as a wedding dress, don't you think?

I think this one is stunning too and a bit similar to my lost dream dress.

I also really really like this one:

If it was in ivory or champagne - again - this could work as a brides dress?

I like the second one. The first one is too plain, the third one is too busy with the bolero.

Moving on to shoes: nude, high heels, and in size 5. Geez, it's going to be tough finding shoes that match my skin color. Most nudes are way too light. :(

Hedwig,
http://www.lightinthebox.com/de/Mant...d_p171822.html LOVE THIS!!!

Two votes for the second dress. :)

I will shortlist this. ;)

The bolero is optional for the third one... I still really like all three of them. Maybe I should have three partys. ;)
