Craft Hope is collecting handmade aprons for women and girls in Haiti. Details here:

There is also a list of other items they need, so if you can donate something, I am sure they would be happy to receive it. :)

Come on, guys. Aprons are easy to make. And it's a really good cause. :)

Marge, do you have any recommendations for someone who's handy with a machine or hand-stitching but doesn't know how to cut a pattern? :)

I wish I could,I've made aprons before but I'm up to my eyeballs in projects already. Ive been crocheting blankets for cancer patients lately.

Marge, do you have any recommendations for someone who's handy with a machine or hand-stitching but doesn't know how to cut a pattern? :)Here are directions for a very simple apron (http://www.vintage-apron-patterns.com/simple-waist-apron-free-apron-patterns.html) -- no pattern is needed at all. It is very similar to the apron that I made in 7th grade sewing class made for the very first project. (The page Marge linked to said that "half aprons" were OK.)

There are lots of free patterns here:

I made a couple of full aprons because I already had a pattern, but I made a bunch of half aprons from smaller pieces of fabric without using a pattern. I just kind of improvised from stuff I saw online.
