So I just came across this
If you scroll down, you can see what Tessa's favorite thing she ever got from a fan was:

Really glad we sent her all those messages. Thanks, Jess!

i thought the article was done in 2010, not recently, so that scrapbook was not the one given to her recently. but of course, it goes to show how much tessa appreciates scrapbooks from fans.

It was AMAZING!!!!!!!

...

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

I MUST write while it is fresh, and share with you. Oh god I'm still buzzing on some miraculous contact high, it's like they exude this something and I got a quick hit of it and can I just say the drive home was...hazy.

I got there 15 minutes early and there was a great little crowd, sizeable enough to feel jolly but not so unmanageably large. They really took their time with every one and so about an hour in we made it to the front of the line and there's Kurt! Incredibly personable, shaking hands with every one. He asked me if we had met before. To which I answered yes, once, when I was a precocious tweener. And then there were the two. Glowing. Gorgeous. I mean, it's all just impressions now, their faces, what they were wearing, their expressions, what was said. I do know that I had this strong urge to touch Scott's face. His skin is really beautiful. Funny,...that's what I'm remembering.

So I didn't pre amble. I told them it was such a pleasure meeting them both. We may have shaken hands? And then I took out the card and said it was this collection of messages, quotes and well wishes from some of their fans through the web, that it was this gesture that couldn't even begin to represent the love and support and appreciation there is for them. And both of them were genuinely, spontaneously moved. Tessa took the card and started looking through it, and the more she did, the more excited she seemed. Both of them didn't seem to be able to believe that we did this for them. And she kept repeating how she couldn't wait to read it all.

I have to say thank you all of you, for contributing. The card had...lots of messages. And I handwrote them all out with different colours. Tessa asked me if I had scribed it all myself, to which I admitted to being technologically daft so it was old school all the way, to which they both seemed to approve and prefer... that it was somehow more personal. Both were just so truly appreciative that I felt,... really really good. Tessa became a little emotional. Slightly teary. I went to take a picture with them around the table and she said to wait a moment because she wanted to hug me. And then Scott said "me too!!!!". And I said, "I just died a little bit inside...just a little bit...."

They then helped put both their Olympic medals on me. And we took a picture.

Tessa and Scott had already signed the postcards I had brought for them to sign, but as I was turning to go, Tessa said to wait because she wanted to sign an official photo of the two of them (they had a pile on the table for everyone to take) and she wrote the sweetest message on it saying how appreciative she was for the heartfelt support and how extremely grateful they both were.

And of course I took a picture of the card before I gave it to them. I'll have to figure out how to share it with you guys. I'm not on any photo sharing sites, so...does anyone have a suggestion what I should do?

And I'm really sorry HSGP, I didn't get your message in time :( Sorry!

AHHHH. So happy.

Fantastic to read all about it. I've been away, so missed all of this, but am so thrilled to read your account. You write so beautifully, it's as if I was with you. Thanks so much!

Here is my (late) Stars on Ice review! All in all, it was a really great show. Since I don't know all the songs the skaters skated to, I'll just talk about them by name.

Jeremy Abbott was really good, his first number was so graceful and moving. I really haven't watched much of his, but he's an awesome skater and was well-received in Vancouver.

Ashley Wagner was another I was unfamiliar with. Her first number was a bit choppy, but her second piece brought me to tears almost! It was very beautiful.

Cynthia wasn't as successful this show, she fell in her first number and popped most of her jumps in her second number. I felt a bit sorry for her.

Kurt was amazing and brought the house down as always, Shawn Sawyer, oh my gosh, so artistic and creative and such a gymnast on the ice!! Joannie was amazing, nailed all of her jumps (that I can remember). She's always so consistent, you can really tell the difference between her and Cynthia.

Kaitlyn and Andrew were fantastic. They did "Shake it Out" by Florence and the Machines, which was good, but not my favourite. But boy, was "Je Suis Malade" so amazing to see live! It was absolute perfection. They have such a great chemistry together.

I really enjoyed the boys # with the four spotlights. It was so creative and the boys really excelled.

And of course, Tessa and Scott! Hallelujah was just breathtaking, so intimate and gorgeous. So "them." I loved it so much. Aint no Mountain was really well done and I definitely like it better than when I first saw it. They really stand out in the group numbers and are fantastic dancers. When Tessa smiles, she lights up the arena! All the skaters hugged one another at the end, Scott and Tessa included, and also from opposite sides of the rink at the end, Scott picked Tessa up and gave her a spinny hug <3 It was so adorable.

It was a really great show!

Hallelujah was really special. From my section you could hear a pin drop, and the music works really well in a cavernous auditorium - some music just works better in certain spaces and the haunting quality of the song, combined with the space, and the precision and elegance of the performers...it was definitely a moment.

The piece with our four boys and four spotlights was unbelievable. What a beautiful concept, modern, pared down. I'm such a sucker for minimalist aesthetic. They couldn't have gotten four more beautiful athletes/artists to collaborate on this dance. These four men and their impeccable physicality, alone on the ice with their golden lights, all muscles and shadows.

I never get tired of watching Hallelujah. So sad that its so short.

I think the program developed from Halifax to Vancouver. I found the Vancouver version a lot more sensual. Now that could be more my reaction to it than anything else though I dont think I am wrong.

Cant wait to see GP draw. I know where V-M will be, but have a little hope :)))))))))
And just watch Hallelujah from Vancouver. Nomatter, what people will say, i LOVE it and if i will be at arena, i will be in tears after watching this. Without step sequences, twizzles, difficult enteres into the lifts, dance look so much better, better go with the music, like someone post at GSD.
Now we all go to vacations in this thread? :) I am a little nervouse, because all teams in Canton have new prgrams and liftes and what Zueva left for V-M? But from other side - all so happy with D-W FD, wich was made during 1 week :))))))))))))))))
Only 1 thing cant understand - why V-M have vacation in the same time with D-W? I think they need time for be along at the begining of the work on there programs.
And i always want to ask Z-Sh - did ever 2 or 3 teams wish to use the same music in there group? What did they do in this situation? :D
