Iggie your blog is amazing! Thank you for taking the time to put in all the work! I agree with your post above in regards to funny face and the kind of reception it has (or hasn't) been getting.

I, as established, like the idea of a specific genre of dance program. I'd offered some examples of the sort of music that would work with that genre. I have certainly not expected V/M to hear or have any desire to utilize a fan's suggestion (I'd rather expect the opposite, actually). But I will refrain from again visiting that discussion topic.
You don't have to refrain from posting your ideas lavendarblue. I enjoy reading people's take on things including the kind of genre/style that would be interesting to see T/S explore; if others find it redundant they can skip over those posts.

I didn't have any specific poster in mind - so I'm just quoting your post as a jumping-off point - I'm sorry, I really don't mind that people wish to talk about their music preferences for V/M. But like someone else said, it gets a little overwhelming, there are so many suggestions and links. It does seem that most times it ends up being a discussion about people's favorite music, in which case maybe it would be fun for those so inclined to have a thread dedicated to that subject.

And this is just MO. I do realize I'm mostly a lurker and not a contributor to this thread.

Nice blog :)

Here are some links for Tessa & Scott photos:
Which reminds me... wouldn't be cool if we posted the favourite pic of the season, and then, if iggie wishes, make a post on her blog?
i'm sure it would be a pretty fantastic collection. (:
do you like the idea, iggie?

Maggylyn you should contribute as much as you like! It's great seeing all different perspectives in here, the more the merrier I say.

^ This is a FAB idea. It's so fan-collaborativy and fun. And Iggie I love your blog too. Thanks for all your hard work.

On a completely unrelated note,...I was just having a lazy hazy Sunday looking at my bookshelf when I recovered a program from the 1997 CSOI tour. Flashback to memories of me getting a pass to meet the skaters at the hotel after party/meet n' greet. I had remembered meeting Kurt and Brian, and Ekaterina. But COMPLETELY forgotten about Torvill/Dean until I saw that I had their autographs. :duh:

Is CSOI the only summer appearances that Tess and Scott will be making?

I really like what you contribute to this thread, maggylyn, and I hope you continue to post:)

I really like the program/music suggestions, but I can see what people are saying about it getting a little overwhelming. do people make separate threads for these things on fsu? and iggie, I enjoyed reading all the different versions of your Evita post, and thought of you when I was watching Amelie Lacoste's LP.

[list of music suggestion]

thank you so much for doing this, martyross!

Loved the EX program. It looked far more polished than at Worlds. Tessa absolutely shines and boy can they both "move it".

ITA.

and thanks for all the links, everyone :)

I'd rather not have a separate thread for music suggestions. I think such posts are easy enough to skip over if you don't want to read them, but I do think they contribute alot to V/M discussion. At the very least, they show the different perceptions fans have of them and what they are capable of, and I really like seeing that.

thank you so much for the support. it is a lot of work, but i had missed this kind of blog... a place you can turn to in order to find so many wonderful moments.

i will do the music suggestion blog post. i'm thinking of separate ones for the polka, free dance and exhibition. i'll look at the music that was posted here already, but feel free to send me a message or an email: compulsorydances@gmail.com.

i will also do the photo post as well.... overall, what is your favourite photo from the season? martyross can organize that. :)

i'm also a fan of montages. if you send me a link to one, also send me an explanation about why you made it or why you chose it. i like bringing fan voices into the blog. (that also applies for the photos and music suggestions.) you can put the link in this thread and i'll probably see it because i read everything. but you can also message me or send me an email.

if you have any other suggestions for posts, let me know as well.

I feel the same way you do about the music/program suggestions, and would love to see that discussion continue as long as people here are cool with it.

thanks for those pics, DaiKozOda! I hadn't seen that one with Tessa and Scott in the Roots clothing. I agree, it really shows off their chemistry.

I have a question regarding the SD for next season. Is it a must for teams to use music that sounds polka (oh I hope not) or can they use any kind of music and just do the polka compulsory moves?

Maggylyn I hope you don't feel attacked, I wasn't referring to your post specifically. I just wanted to make sure that lavenderblue didn't feel like she couldn't post music suggestions or whatever. And do please contribute more, it's fun here :).
