They look like they definitely do not want to be there. Or like me when learning that V-M had lost the free at the GPF.

Like an uber i like Hallelujah :D I feel like its too personal and maybe people must not to be at the arena during this exibition :D I think this why they choose this version.
And i like when this show there super skating skills.
I dont think they will go in this direction in next season FD, but if after FF people talking the same things about first love - who care, what thye skate? :D For me this is not first love, its something more mature.
I think David Wilson made this choreo.

I have to admit I am not very familiar with David Wilson as a choreographer for ice dancing but Hallelujah doesn't strike me as being stylistically different from some other programs Tessa and Scott skated in the past. And this lift here...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=dcWXWl1Hdrc#t=89s

...isn't it the same as here?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=FLNkkVjddNbO0K4M4D6WevaA&feature=player_detailpage&v=onsN7NQx9IY#t=171s

And their ending lift in Hallelujah, isn't it also their last lift in Mahler?

But for me all there numbers is good, so dont pay attention :)))))))))))

I am not picky either because watching Tessa and Scott dance is always a treat.:swoon:

So what if they recycle a lift or two or not change it very much for SOI. At least they change them for their competitive programs. There are a couple of lifts that I wish they would use again that didn't get enough exposure in 2011 Worlds.

But they used some different choreo in both numbers. Especially in disco number ;)
Look like all others use new lifts in shows :) And those lifts are from 2008 and 2009 - why not to use it again?

Hallelujah is so beautiful. I'm falling in love with it more every time I watch it. I agree with you pani that its like you're seeing something that's very private and that makes me love it even more.

Lol I seriously thought I might have been the only one to feel that way. I had to look away the first time I saw the video, I was thinking "I shouldn't be watching this," total dramaqueen.

Anyways guess what I'm watching now...UP!!!! I hate the part Ellie dies though :(.

Thanks to all who have posted these links! So great!

Interesting to see Tessa and Scott vs. Ilia and Katia, who played those roles on the US tour....with all due respect to two of the best skaters ever to walk the earth (Ilia and Katia)- I think Tessa and Scott's is 100% better...so sweet and heartfelt

also- sidenote- watch the part where they are doing the waltzing turns. I am pretty sure Scott has his eyes closed...talk about trust and understanding between two people, their first night performing something! who needs to have their eyes open to see where they're going!?!

well, what do you expect from two skaters who have been skating together for so long? katia and ilia hardly skate with each other in a program for only the two of them. if it were katia and sergei, now that's a different story.

A wicked new montage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvmJRjtBYe0

I adore this song, its my favourite off of Florence's new album. Got to say I never pictured someone using it for Tessa and Scott but now that I've seen it I really like it :)

Oh twinktwink I just love, love, love that montage. It would be my dream come true if they would only skate to something like this. It's so powerful.

ITA. The music alone in all of Florence's songs is so epic and powerful and then when you add in the vocals most of the time they become spine tingling. If Tessa and Scott were to pick music that's big and bold I'd like it to be something more contemporary like this, mainly because I'd just be curious to see what they'd do with a more recent song.

Don't get me wrong, I love music of all kinds and a lot of it from the past but I'm always curious as to what skaters cold do with music that's from right now, if you know what I mean.

My gut tells me they will go contemporary. There is a lot of talk of trying something new, that is the next logical next, don't you think? I doubt they'll touch a piece from the Romantic era, as they already did that. Unless it is something not characteristic of that era, like Stravinsky, who went against the established paradigm at the time. So all those beautiful adagiettos are out of the question.

I doubt they will touch a Latin rhythm as they've had enough of that for the last two years, unless they pick a tango or a flamenco (and both ARE variations of Latin rhythms). But if they go this route, I am thinking a modern take. Because you don't want to be too Tango Romantica or Farrucas. Again, I am going with what they said about trying something new. Broadway is also done, obviously. Since we saw so little of Pink Floyd and it was so well-received, I think they might want to go experimental again and there are a million alternatives in modern music. At least, that is my hope.

Yeah, but you'd think Katia and Ilia would be more familiar with, and better able to portray, the emotions of falling in love, getting married, and finding out they're having a baby together, than V/M. :P
