boring latin again.
It bothers me always that Monko is taller than Khaliavin, she grew so much
is Khaliavin a midget by her standards ?

very good.
this couple is interesting and the program is refreshing and creative.
second part somehow reminded me of Harry Potter.

Sounds like a circus theme or a a carousel ride

I liked it. I just think that it needs to be fleshed out more.
But it is much better than anything that Kustarova would give them and has more of a polka feel already than their SD last year had Latin feel at the end of the season. Also there are already more difficult transitions.

difficult transitions....well i can't see many..

I agree, that Thuk has improved. But that program seemed a little be rushed for me anyway.
Love story still needs more expression and feelings.

It's hard to say much about Bobrova/Soloviev's SD given the quality of that video (nevertheless, big thanks to the uploader) but at least their music isn't sleep-inducing. For once!

Many thanks for the vids! It was hard for me to see exactly what was going on because of the distance, but I certainly think these dances show promise.

B/S - I like their music - especially the second one. The first part looked like it was mostly done in dance holds - was that the 2 rounds of CD put back to back? If so, the polka CD must be very long? Putting the sequences back to back should get them some extra points somewhere.

Of course, it's still rough and needs work - it's so early in the season - but this looks really promising. And I hope they keep the ending - it's not what I was expecting - it's kind of sudden and because of that - it's different and I'll remember it.

S/Z - Glad I saw this! I like the music - it suits their style - but is it a polka? It seemed more blue-sy to me. In fact, the whole dance seemed kind of short cf to B/S - is that only part of it?

M/K - I dont think their height is a problem at all - look at V/M. To me their biggest problem is failing to keep to the rhythm. From the middle of the first part, it seemed to me they lost the beat and didnt get it back til the change of music. That used to be a severe penalty in ice dance - like a fall in singles. Under COP Im not sure if that is still deducted or counts as much. It bugs me though.

Parisian....very evokative of cafe culture music of the streets. I think it's a very cool musical choice for a polka, mashing it up with a French waltz.

OMG what did Alexander Smirnov do???
Also, it's really cute seeing Tamara with the iPad.
And the two of them have some of the best pair spirals in the business.
