It seems like a huge waste of cash (presumably paid by the federation, but still), not to mention time and energy on Liza's part.

It would be very rare indeed to choreograph two full sets of programs each with intricate choreography... makes me think it's just the same SP and LP layout but to different music. :shuffle:

I'm surprised two well known choreographers would put up with that. Speaks to her position as THE up and coming ladies skater, I guess.

I don't think there is anything the choreographers can do about it. They were hired to make her a program, they did it and got paid for it. I don't think they gave her sign any contract where she would have to commit to actually use the program for the next season.

If you hired a designed to make you a dress for some red carpet occasion and then last minute decided not to wear the dress and wear a dress from another designer instead, the first designer wouldn't be able to do anything about it either.

She started her offseason really early (in January instead of in March or April) so she had time. Anyway, I think it's a good idea because it will help her improve artistically by working on varied programs.

And she might keep the spare programs for the following season.

I don't think she'd do that. Maybe music, but she'll be more mature after a season and able to handle new programs and more complex choreography. (hopefully)

Well, maybe the choreography is a bit too much for her now, and that's why she may want to leave is aside and grow artistically first with something more simple, to get ready for those programs.

I don't think it's a waste of money at all, if the Federation or the skater has it: working with Dickson and Wilson is great experience in itself, and she will learn a ton from both of them.

Definitely. Also it will give her experience with both choreographers so she can have a choice between the two for Sochi and still know both of them well enough to have them choreograph better programs for her abilities.

Any news on Borodulin or Gorshkova/Butikov?

I find it really interesting that Wilson and Dickson will be helping Liza decide on her programs.

Wow, a peak at what the CH sequence could look like.
