If D-W will skate Carmen it become the most fresh msic in ice dance
Why never D-W use something really fresh and new?
At least SD will be great :)

:lol:Pani, you answered your own question....Giselle is Really Fresh and New:lol::lol::lol:
And I agree with you, if Meryl and Charlie skated to Carmen, it would be fresh and new, they can't help it, that's just how they skate...but I'm glad you took notice and can appreciate it.

Oh, you mean like the exact reaction the V&M thread has had to V&M doing Carmen? I'd say something about people in glass houses but I suspect it would go over your head.

I've never seen a program to Notre Dame de Paris live whereas I once saw four programs to Carmen on the same day at Skate America. Notre Dame de Paris is certainly not an unknown piece of music but it's hardly overused to the level of Carmen, Tosca, Rach 2, etc.

But I suspect the programs will speak for themselves.

O yes, even Phantom of opera was freash and D-W used it first
This will be Phantom of opera. Much better for D-W to show something different and new, like this

 I'm not going to argue with you. You are incapable of carrying on anything resembling a conversation since you are too busy with whatever goes on in your head.

I'm interested to see what pieces of music they end up using. It's a very dense score. What does everyone else think about this choice (if it is correct)? Anyone have any pieces they'd like to see?

I agree with you. How could you argue D-W never use something not overused?

Pani, reality check- You ARE aware that V/M are using THE MOST overused music ever skated to, don't you? Maybe THEY should skate to some fresh Frank Sinatra, but, oh that's right, it would be just another lovey-dovey program, better not.

Why don't people just ignore the pot-stirring posts in the respective Uber threads? :)

It's too much fun making the pot stirrer mad enough to go back to her own thread:scream:

Not saying Notre Dame is overused in ice dance, but since the question came up as to who's used it, Gudina & Beletski of Israel used it for an FD and Anissina & Peizerat used it for an exhibition. I think there are other juniors or OES who may have used it, but can't remember the names (maybe Zadorzhniuk & Verbillo of UKR?). It was used much more frequently in singles than ice dance.
