WTT FD was my fav, overall. Second only to Skate America. Not because SA was groundbreaking in terms of talent, but more the overjoyed feeling of seeing FD for the first time.

WTT, they had such a fun, playful connection. It was like they knew it was the last time they'd skate it in competition, there was no pressure, and it was beautiful.

My favorite SD was at GPF. They just seemed on fire and I loved how crisp the step sequence was. I did get to see the SD live at 4CC and it was wonderful watching it live. My favorite FD was WTT. Like PinkFeathers said, it was fun and playful. They just seemed so into the dance and each other during that performance and the audience reaction was fantastic. I loved how they looked at one another in the K&C like "yeah, we did it and it was great".

DavisandWhitefan...for me, I had to grow to love their Tango FD. It was such a departure for them and as a long time fan, I tried very hard to see what they were aiming for in this dance and it took a while to love it. Worlds was definitely the best...there was such perfection and the twizzles alone make me watch it over and over. They just seemed like they were so determined to show that they were indeed World Champions and deserved to be crowned as such. It was an amazing performance and showed us that they didn't have to have glorious music to put out a glorious performance...that was D/W working without a net and I'll treasure it always.

I liked the GPF SD the most too. They were just unstoppable.

My fav version of their Adele ex was at Worlds. Such elegance, maturity and beautiful connection. It was perfect and I grew to love it in the blue dress even more than in the black one.

As for the FD, tough choice here. They gave nothing but splendid performances of it all season long (maybe with the exception of 4CC), but two of them were really special for me. SA, because it was, as somebody said, the unveiling of a masterpiece and I will never forget how it felt to see it for the very first time. Another special one for me was at Worlds, simply because I got to see it live and give them a standing ovation myself ;)

As for the tango FD from last season, well, it's my least favourite of all their senior FDs. I mean, for a tango it was great, it was soooo difficult and packed with elements and I really grew to love it as a tango. However, from day one I was rather skeptical about them doing a tango FD in the first place. It just didn't seem like a good FD choice and it still doesn't for me. I'm glad they tried to address their weaknesses and prove some people wrong but I'm also glad we're past that already.

Such good questions!! I especially loved the ones about mental preparation and how they choose programs, all very insightful. Meryl and Charlie should be interviewed by lawyers (or non-skating reporters) more often. :P

Loved hearing Meryl talk for an extended period of time instead of quick snippets in interviews. She appeared intelligent, articulate, able to formulate answers quickly. May have rambled a bit, but overall poised and mature in front of law students. She has it all!!

Thanks for the link! I didn't realize that they were legally obligated to change a program if the USFSA didn't like it.

Yeah, that was quite eye opening. It gives me a new appreciation for them having to be all things to all people program wise. What a tall order.
