I have to admit that I'm surprised that Ladwig plans to continue skating.

I second that opinion...will seem strange to see him with someone else! I will miss them!

I thought this was the one US pair that would stay together until they both retired...

I don't see how Ladwig plans to continue his skating career. He'll be 32 next month, he has no partner and US pairs are starting to show some signs of life. I wish him well, but I'll be surprised if he is truly able to go on in competitive skating.

Well, I could have thought of one partner, but...

Mark and Amanda stayed together for a long time.
I wish them both the best.

You do know that they were together for ten years, don't you?

Amanda has decided that this phase of her life is done, and I wish her the best, and Mark success in continuing on in pairs. I don't think any of the US teams is going to match the quality of their lifts for quite some time.

I don't really lump Amanda and Mark in the same category as the rest of the 2 or 3 year US/Canada partnerships- They have been together longer than most marriages! It just seems Amanda wants to move on with her life.

Ten years isn't enough for you? I guess Evora shouldn't retire as long as people want to see them together.

Um, Evora and Ladwig have been a pair for 10 years - which I think is probably the longest of any senior pair in the US at the moment. Maybe you should look at the actual information before spouting off.

It's interesting that she's retiring but he's continuing. And right after Yankowskas got a partner.

 They are the ONE team that I never thought would split, if anything I thought they'd retire together this season, sad :(. But I wish good luck to both of them.

Any speculation of who will be Mark's new partner?

yeah, too bad HE couldn't have nabbed Yankowskas.
