Yeah who wants to see skaters skate anyway? They should all stay at home wrapped in cotton wool until Worlds and put them back after they're done! :drama:

I haven't seen it or know the results .. have no interest in watching as I don't understand why the ISU wants ANOTHER competition a few weeks after worlds. What's the point? And it doesn't even count.
i suspect its the greed of federations. they pressure or force Tessa and Scott because they make more money as they place in the high spots. they can get a good percentage of their prize.
i seem to remember that three years ago there was more criticism of this event.
maybe some skaters enjoyed this stuff for real, but i read that Mervin Tran wasnt enthusiast to keep training either.

thank you for your appreciation, spikydurian!

...wading out of the sour grapes to totally agree with 'fred.

To the folks who want to declare Worlds the end of the season, you are ignoring a competition full of exceptional performances and many season's best scores. Not to mention the kiss n cry shows put on by the French and Italian teams.

I don't think it's a case of sour grapes for everyone who isn't interested in the event. Some yes, but not everyone. I don't recall even being aware of the competition in 2009 but I remember watching 2009 Worlds. And I got my fix a couple of weeks back. After spending a week in front of the TV watching worlds in Nice and having my inner clock turned around I just wasn't interested in watching this live. I've caught a few videos but a quick glance at the results were enough. I hear Dai was fantastic but I also thought he was fantastic in Nice just a few weeks back so I don't feel I missed much. I think the timing of this thing is one of it's biggest problems.

It's not a cheesefest, it's a cheesecake. (predictable, innit)

I think it's interesting that the three WC competed at WTT (V/M, Chan, Kostner) all failed to win their discipline.

Thanks for the link, lavenderblue, and thank you figuritska and martyross for those. They were really neat.

For anyone who is interested in seeing the funny K&C action Shayii was kind enough to transcribe for us, here's the link (skip to 6:46 for the k&c, but it is a really good performance so you may want to watch:)):

The OD would be here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A-vLb3Dt9w) (with Tanith and Ben's right after). :)

And I don't think this was posted here, either - compilation of Team Canada K&Cs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5LojI7FR44). It's mostly in reverse order of performance, so it gets rather drearier as it progresses. ;)

lol and thanks, lavenderblue! I am happy someone uploaded the videos, especially since we didn't get to see Tessa and Scott for so much of that season.

LMAO! That is so funny . Poor Canada now that I think about it sometimes they just looked confused as to what to do so they just stood there and clapped lol. Thanks for posting!

"They're gonna change their tune" for the new titel? :D Or may be "The best is yet to come" or "If you got it, you stand out a mile" :)
