Sorry, but D-W didnt win at WTT - they won silver medals with there team ;) This is difference - this wasnt individual competitions. Moir didnt get that - with such skaters in ladies event they couldnt even thinking about gold :D
Plus all see - D-W were overscored. 9,96 - this is marks for Gods. :D

I can say, hand on heart, that if V&M had won I would still think this event was a load of smelly old socks :D Which is why I didn't watch it in the first place and genuinely don't give a hoot that V&M didn't win. Whereas usually I would care about them coming second.

To each his own.

I loved this event, and even the cheesiness is welcome after a long season.

Canada takes bronze at World Team Trophy figure skating event behind Japan, U.S.

``We kind of came in and had some OK skates from some of our top athletes and then it was also nice to see some people with less experience to have great performances,'' said ice dancer Scott Moir of Ilderton, Ont. ``This gave our team a boost and gave us a shot to come after this third place.'

``This is turning into an exciting event. I was here in 2009 and it is a lot different feeling to know it's going to be at the Olympic Games,'' Moir said. ``Hopefully we can catch up and try to challenge the Americans and the Japanese in the Olympics. But we have some work to do in order to be in that league.''

Good job, Scott!

I agree, good job Scott! nice of him to give Meagan and Eric credit. He and the rest of the team were really happy for these two, and I loved seeing that. I think the kind of support the skaters showed for each other at WTT was my favourite part of the event.

What I loved about this event was seeing all the skaters giving standing ovations to other teams, and watching how happy so many of them looked with all those flowers and stuffed toys raining down on them, as they did in the 1990's.

I loved seeing Anna & Luca's best ever FD, Dai's best ever SP & LP, Davis & White's best performance this season of DF, the great SP of Takahashi / Tran, and getting to see Funny Face and Pharoah and his Mummy live on ISU "TV". I even liked the crazy KnC stuff, because I kept watching to see what the heck the Italians and the French would come up with, rather than going and reading my mail.

I do agree the timing of the event could have been better for everyone, though.

I understand that if the event is well-received at Olympics, that it will be part of Worlds?

Some skaters had there season best, but not show best skating :)
For me its really interesting point - at first D-W ubers told D-W must win WCh, because they had best skating ever, now they talk D-W had best at WTT. So let me understand - in your opinion V-M must lose to the worst D-W perfomance (like this was at 4CC). Funny :)))))))))))))))

I just meant that D&W deserved to get that top spot for the dance portion here. And you know that I disagree with the PCS in both dances, but not with the final result.

And I actually think that Cynthia and Amelie had a good shot at doing well if they skated closer to their potential as they are both very good skaters with solid jumping technique. Unfortunately that did not happen. I guess in that way i am happy this event is not getting much coverage here...i have always disliked how the canadian media treated our ladies skaters and would hate to see these two torn apart for their performances.

No, we cant wait to see Adel - look like you choose wrong thread  I think V-M didnt have a lot off time for practice this exibition and if they had banquete already at will be hard to perfom.

I can't wait to see the performances of all the teams, how about that? V&M are my favourites but that doesn't mean I can't love other teams almost as much and be happy for them when they achieve something that meant something to them. And in saying that, I am not saying that you have to love other teams or be happy for them. We all like what we like :)

Music suggestions for next season? And do you think they will use this exhibition next year, or get a new one before the season starts?

Thanks for posting these, pani.
