evita. skaters usually use the don't cry for me song... but i love the music in other parts.

faster pace and great openers

Oh! What a Circus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S39iFdZEiDA&feature=relmfu

need that intro. love the music. just the oh, what a circus part. the hymn would be epic. once the hymn is done... move on. i like it because it's upbeat but there's a hint of sadness. somber.

Buenos Aires
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK7Nr8ag0aE&feature=relmfu

argentina, hip shaking, fast feet, music rushing through your veins, vibrating off the drums... you can't stay still and listen to this. you must dance. you must have passion.

soulful, deep and sensual

another suitcase.

so melancholic. i can imagine a slow, sultry tango with immense connection. i love 1:50 :). this is the mental image/vibe inspiration for the free dance... this scene is what i think they can pull of to the ice. if i were to describe it, v/m dancing like they're in argentina, in a club after hours, smoke, amber glasses of rum and whisky, seduction, a little inexpressible melancholy, sultry, with them dancing in and out of the light and shadows. a peak into something special. pure dance. (and only later do you remember that it's being skated and we're in the middle of a competition)

you must love me

(1:05 ish). mute madonna and just a cello solo.

i'd be surprizingly good for you
http://youtu.be/amzY937o9wU?t=51s

just the instrumental. try not to listen to madonna though she does a good job. you just need to grab a partner and slow dance.

interestingly...

the credits... seriously. listen to this version of all these songs. it's a beautiful instrumental, orchestral version.

i need to stop editing this post... if you want to see the original version of this post, see the post beneath. i'm thinking of their tangos and their first sd. i feel like v/m have come kind of close to dancing like this or setting this kind of mood. i love these parts of the soundtrack and i feel like it would demand and celebrate three very important things: connection, soul, and dance.

dancing like they're in argentina, in a club, smoke, sultry... especially the part when they stop singing (3:00, 4:15). maybe tessa would become a dirty blonde/light brown with lighter highlights... and stop dying her hair so black. she was looking almost gothic in the small medal ceremony and london promo

ditto, especially the cello solo. (1:10 ish). mute madonna and just a cello solo.

I am very familiar with this soundtrack, and I love your vision for this program. I especially like the idea of evoking the feel of a club in Buenos Aires, one of the milongas. The 'Buenos Aires' piece is very rich and rhythmically dense (more when you get past the first 2 minutes in that piece), which has the potential to really highlight one of V&M's greatest strengths. I like the idea of breaking that up with the cello section...I don't know how it would end...

I read that people are becoming reacquainted with this production as of late, with Ricky Martin headlining. I know a lot of people are familiar with this music, but it still offers enough variety for Tessa and Scott to do something interesting with it. Maybe you should also send your suggestion to Skate Canada:)

Sorry but I love that Scott is like this, he speaks his mind & if that is how he feels so be it, this event is silly & pointless to me, they are World Champs, end of season.......this means crap all

well, with marina convincing them to attend the event, it seemed that they didnt even want to be there in the first place. it took some persuasion for them to attend it, and when they did attend, only for them to lose? who wouldnt feel what scott felt?

I didnīt realize you were a member of Team Canada.

zing!

In the interest of maintaining peaceful and cordial relations between the threads, I would like to suggest that ubers stay in their own corners...I imagine most people in both threads would rather not engage in fan wars so perhaps it is best for certain ubers not to wander over here and make provocative statements; we will show you the same courtesy.

Great suggestion, BKfan! Most of the people that posts these kind of statements are looking to stir the pot so we should just ignore them (the ignore feature is our friend :) ).

Maybe because people with that levelof obsession end up in jail and/or with a restraining order against them

i agree, and people who follow or are fans of those kinds of obsessive people are the very ones that enjoy the level of entertainment offered by reality shows like jersey shore and kardashians and their ilk ;)

Dont worry - in next season Canada will have cheesefest in London :D

As for music. Look at this - ballet on Radiohead music

O, FF look great "live" and the fly across the ice again.
But yes, i will wait what will be next and hope this will be something modern and i love new FD :D

Look at this

I don't know Pani, these are nice but I'm not sure they would be the kind of "audience friendly" we are hoping for. I feel it would take a while for people to get this kinda of program like funny face either that or the choreography would have to be pretty cool (like that team from Azerbaijan). I feel they need a program people would just love right away, if you know what I mean.

ETA: And iggie do think they should try to do a FD based on another musical right after FF? But what are the chances that they're reading our suggestions anyhow lol.

:rolleyes:whatever...I watch the Kardashians sometimes and Real Housewives (not Jersey Shore though) solely for the entertainment the stupidity of those shows provide and I'm not out trying to stalk them.

Thanks i just loved that music with their "want to hold you hand" program. Even before Hanyu used it.

There chemistry is unmatched.:hat1:

We should merge programs and songs more often and maybe one day they may choose something similar ;)

From new article:

The Olympic Champions were a little disappointed with the outcome.
“It is a little surprising, but that is figure skating,” said Virtue. “Technically, I think we’ve had a very strong season. We wanted to enjoy our skating this season and I think we just did that.”
“We felt it was a strong skate,” added Moir. “It was tough two weeks after Worlds, trying to keep the mojo going. It was kind of a battle last week, but coming here we felt fresh, we felt energized. We put out two really solid performances. We really felt the joy in our skating this year, which really helps us for the future as well.”
Virtue and Moir will now head off to Halifax for the Canadian Stars on Ice tour.

Thanks for posting that, Shayii. btw, I also indulge in that genre of tv from time to time, I must admit...:shuffle:

Also, remember this:
