Thanks for the videos and photos, much appreciated! Is this a different arena than last year? The arena seems to be small or maybe it is just the angle of camera.

Thanks for the interview vid l'etoile. Judging from the interview, sounds like Yuna is unlikely to return to competitive skating. :(

But the interview is illuminating. Yuna has achieved what most could only dream of. She is famous, young, beautiful and healthy. Figure skating is such a lonely and demanding sport and unless she wants to do it for the sheer love of competing, why put herself through so much hard work and sacrifice again? And then again, it's a sport with little room for error. And she certainly doesn't own us fans anything. It is not arrogance. It's so easy for us to criticize from afar like as if we, if put in her position, can achieve what she had, that we forget it's her life, her hard work, her sacrifice that brought her where she is today. If she gets terribly hurt, she herself suffer the consequences too. We can only send our sympathies from afar. She doesn't owe anyone a living. She has also shown love and gratitude for her countrymen who supported her training financially by returning to skate in the Worlds.

Yuna, do what you think you wish to do. We thank you for all your beautiful skating and raising the level of the ladies' fs during your time. We love you all the same and wish you only the best.

I think the Koreans like to donate rice rather than money? I remembered sight-seeing at a Korean temple and saw bags of rice donated to the temple.

I’ve read some of articles, Korean fandoms just prefer rice wreaths to flower bouquets.
Because they can help farmers and people in need and decreas the amount of waste flowers. :)

I went to the first night. Her programs were lovely, with some difficulties in jumps. She was not the only one having jump problems. Several performers fell, so I did not mind at all.

Concerning falls, the funniest one was "performed" by Carolina Kostner. She tripped randomly while gliding along the short side of the rink. We saw a splat face-first onto the ice. She sprang up right away and glided on like nothing happened. The audience didn't realize immediately what they just saw, then started laughing loudly a few seconds later!

Ahha.. that makes sense. Pragmatism rules! :) Afterall, Yuna won't be able to take all the flowers home.
