Here's the thing.....they need a big moving stand on your feet at the end type of music that builds & has some connection with people watching.

IMO one of the best types of songs to relate this with is Queen's... "Bohemian Rhapsody"

There is a fabulous instrumental version by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra & the build & beauty of the song is exactly what T&S need to dance too.

The link is here & listen from about 0:50 - 2:40 cause that is what they need to lift an audience & have everyone raving, the music is very fitting to ice dance & they could be amazing with that type of big emotional song.
IMO if done right it could be a signature piece.:D

...they have already done Pink Floyd & Freddie Mercury & Queen's music is way more legendary & brilliant.;)

Thanks for that and for the warning. That was LOUD. I feel better now just watching them again. i'm so happy for them again. I don't care anymore about negative crap, and nasty hatred you'll always find it no matter what. V/M rise above it all, and I'm so glad they will be around for Sochi. I can't wait!

The two have skated to everything from Pink Floyd to George Gershwin to their classical Olympic gold-medal performance to Gustav Mahler. What's next?

“That's an interesting challenge for us, I don't know, I think we're kind of struggling with that to be honest right now,” Moir said.

They skated their free dance Friday night to Gershwin's “Funny Face,” Virtue in a glamorous red dress as Audrey Hepburn and Moir in white shirt and red tie as Fred Astaire.

“This year it was an idea Tessa has been bringing to the table for about five years and finally Marina said yes. It's different every year. Hopefully Tessa has some ideas up her sleeve for this year,” Moir said.

“Your turn,” Virtue said.

To which Moir replied, laughing, “Pink Floyd again.”

ohhhh... bring back pink floyd? neat idea. but as they say, it's up in the air

Yeah, if they're not injured, they're there. The most interesting bit...

Virtue and Moir also won the world title in 2010, a month after their Olympic victory in Vancouver. They won silver in 2008 and bronze in 2009.

I would love it if they gave Moir a little more input with music, but it does seem like something he's happy to cede the ground to Tessa/Marina on.

Oh, thank you. That does sound pretty sure, no? And the fact they have even discussed with Marina the team event at the Olympics? That is interesting. I have a question, by the way. Regaining their World title, do they get any preference over their teammates at the moment they pick the music? My question, to be more precise, is do they get to pick first? I am not sure how that works so I wanted to ask, maybe some of you do know. I wouldn't mind them picking something contemporary.

Oh for the love of god NO not pink floyd, did not enjoy that at all.

There are much better pieces of legendary music than that...

But that was one their best programs! If I want to show a team how to work on lines, I'd show them THAT. I want something like that, only better. Because they are a much better team now.

Uhm...may I know why? I'm just curious :)
Btw yes I am enjoying Nice and I'm having a great time, I think this has been the best competition I have ever been at so far :D

I thought of you because you were kind enough to translate the Italian commentary for us last time;)

I am so happy you are enjoying the event. Are you doing interviews?
Enjoy the rest of the skating and the beautiful weather:)

I'm so happy V/M is looking forward to Sochi...
Can't wait to see what they will skate to.
Maybe they should follow the same pattern as the last cycle...something modern next year and classical for Sochi.

BTW, will the team event be broadcasted?

Alright, if V/M are looking for music, I'm going to write in with the Blues suggestion. I may even post it on his fb wall, even though I'm usually too chicken to do stuff like that.
