Wonderful to watch at any age...these two. Beautiful matching leglines....right? Too bad the marks these days do not reflect that as much.

Sorry, this viodeo with V-M and U-Zh. Maybe its wrong thread for this :P

Thank you for posting these, pani. I think U&Z and V&M are some of the strongest compulsory dancers of all time. I love to youtube old CDs from both teams (and for anyone who is interested, youtube has a bunch of vids with Maya and Sasha demonstrating cross rolls, choctaws, etc.)

I agree with clarie and Emdee: beautiful to watch even at such an early stage in their career. It is remarkable that they could demonstrate such solid technique when they were so young. IMO, you could see greatness in them from very early on.

I can see why most teams do not like the CD's, but I could watch teams like this with their wonderful lines, posture, and matching free legs and not get bored. I also remember my first glimpse of V/M (on TV) and it was at Canadians (Ottawa, that year) and they showed them also with a close-up of Shae Lynne afterwards, and she looked very impressed.........so was I. That was the moment I made a mental note to keep an eye on these awsome kids. I had a gut feeling they were destined for big things and they aren't done yet by any means if they both stay healthy. :)

I am so excited that Canadians is in Mississauga next year as I can go to both Canadians and Worlds. Unfortunately I can do the GPF but then I know Pani will be giving us a full report.

Pani saw all your Polkas. First would be good if they did something like U&Zcomedic routine - have they ever done comedy other than in an ex? I think Polka is definitely condusive to comedy.

Maybe thats why Scott didnt like Polka? ;)
I think this polka could be good for Tessa and Scott - something more classic.

A lot to catch up on, been so busy!

I would love to see them skate to "Clocks" by Coldplay...I think it would be euphoric. and I think they would work well with both the original version and that by the Vitamin String Quartet.

and like Emdee, I would LOVE to see them do a ballet FD for the Olympics...but I would also love to see them do a blues FD. I'm torn!

I think we must like the same things lol. I love the Vitamin String Quartet ever since I heard them on So You Think You Can Dance. But my favorites renditions they did of Coldplay are Yellow and The Scientist, I don't think I've listened to Clocks.

As do I. Of course I'm going to have Hip Hip Chin Chin stuck in my head for the rest of the day but there are worse songs to have stuck in my head.

I'm very happy about the Finnstep for the Olympic season. I thought V&M did a fantastic job with it when it was the CD under the circumstances.

I have to say as much as I wasn't and still aren't totally happy about the OD being replaced by the SD, one good thing about it is that us Americans finally get to see CD's on a regular basis.

Aww, I wish it was the seniors that had hip hop instead. I feel like the juniors got the better CDs to work with. Polka is just so annoying IMO I wonder if they have to strictly choose only polka music to work with. The Finnstep now that I've seen it, I can tolerate.

Anyways three more weeks until worlds (I think)!
