SUCH a strange dream last night.
Tessa & Scott doing a polka to Back To Black by Amy Winehouse !
Tessa had a black polka dress on.
I think I spend too much time on here.............................................. .

Pashafan, That would be an amazing program!

For the ballet program do you think the music of Paquita will suit them?

The story line of a young gypsy girl and a dashing french officer would be perfect. It could be youthful and passionate at the same time. I could totally see Tessa and Scott in the role.

Yes it would be wonderful if we could pick their programs.

They will never use this, so

V-M still think the most part of FD is to keep unknown music, but not an innovated choreo ;)

Love Tessa here. She struggles to control her feet a couple of times but expression is amazing - her head and feet, her rhythm. She is such a dancer.

She definitely struggled in a couple of spots but it was skated quite well under the circumstances. Scott is a rock star in this dance. They are great at quickstep. Would love to see this skated now by them now that she is much healthier and stronger looking.

She looks great in this dress. Just gorgeous. It's one of my favourite dresses of hers.

From an interview back at the time, they were only able to do minimal training of that dance, due to the time lost for her surgery/rehab that season.

A great job under the circumstances. As you say, I'd love to see them skate it with full training and Tessa in good health.

sorry, just catching up on the previous thread along with this one. I love your post, Sahararainfall...excellent points and beautifully articulated. and I have read so many interesting posts in this thread and the previous one--I love reading so many different opinions about T&S's skating and programs. thanks to everyone who is making this such a lovefest!

and thank you to Kapriza, PashaFan, and everyone else who has taken the time to translate and/or transcribe articles and TV commentary. I really appreciate getting to read the opinions of experts from all over the world.

and thank you elle123 for the new thread title--love it!

ok, I hate to bring this up but to the few posters who insist on writing negative comments about a certain team, can we please stop? and this includes speculation about the female partner's weight--that is such a personal issue (especially for females, whose weight is always scrutinized) and I don't think it is fair to discuss it in the manner it has been discussed by a few people on here. Some people have very fast metabolisms and have very petite frames. and for the record, I think Meryl is absolutely gorgeous!

Also, I am with taf2002 and Subway with regard to some of the posts that reference sexuality and gender. Though there are dominant ideas about these things, I think that we all negotiate gender and sexuality in different ways and I hope we can be conscious of that in our posts.

interesting suggestion, PashaFan!
Tessa and Scott have such good range, so they have numerous options for program styles and music selections. I would love to see them skate to "Clocks" by Coldplay...I think it would be euphoric. and I think they would work well with both the original version and that by the Vitamin String Quartet.

and like Emdee, I would LOVE to see them do a ballet FD for the Olympics...but I would also love to see them do a blues FD. I'm torn!

I can't believe they skated it that well with such little training. I, too, would love to see them do it when they are trained and healthy.

Wow, interesting article! In their book, V/M talk about how much community support they got. I don't know many people who are friends with their high school teachers. Nice to see some great teachers get some recognition.
