You know, it will probably take all of us at least two years to go through the coping process getting ready for Sochi, but hopefully they'll do some tours after that so we can all see them live. (I still haven't seen them live before, but I want to do that before they retire from skating for good)

On a lighter note, how funny was it seeing Scott skate without Tessa in the beginning?

I've never seen live skating before, and I've always hated I didn't get the chance to see U/Z live in 1996 when there was a COI show only about 3 hours from where we lived. (I was a teen then though, and we just couldn't afford the tickets at that time.) I've made it a priority though to see V/M live sometime in the next couple of years.

In all the excitement of these practice videos I almost forgot to mention that when this song came on my ipod this morning I couldn't help but picture how much fun it would be to see Scott especially perform to it.

This has to go on my wish list for them one day for an exhibition, I get the impression he would have a whale of a time and we'd all have so much fun and entertainment watching it :)

Another successful practice tonight - in the competition outfits, this time (nothing's changed in that department, except that Scott's hair is longer and it does look much better, as everyone noticed). They were both really on, enthusiastic and enjoying every beat of the music. Scott, especially, was selling the program even more than before. He was improvising here and there, little movements that gave a new energy to the whole. I hope someone from the crowd recorded it, it was really wonderful. This time they did the combination lift together with the ending and got lots of cheers from the audience (Pingu, you're not going to tell me again that those were the relatives, are you? It seemed to me quite a healthy dose of cheering.;))
It's been great watching Funny Face evolve since October and it has really won me over in the process. If they manage to keep this level of energy, Thursday night's performance will be amazing.

ETA: I see the clip has already been posted, so you can ignore my ramblings.:)

Agreed. For a practice that was unreal. I almost felt like standing up in front of my computer and applauding:lol: Scott was selling it big time, & so adorable. They just look so happy that they make me happy!

According to the program, Tessa and Scott's group is scheduled for 21:55 and the competition should end at 22:30. So yeah, I'm afraid it's going to be over by the time you get home.

Thanks for that, martyross. After so many years of missing the podium, and especially after last year, I'm hoping P/B can still manage to pull it off in this competition and get the bronze.

As for V/M, goodness, Scott, any more enthusiasm and Tessa may have gone sailing across the ice,. They certainly appear to be in a great place in these practices. And thanks for your reports, IoanaC!
