They have had bad luck these last couple of years.
I dont always like their programs but they are certainly unique.

Unlucky :(

Does the universe hate P/B or what? This year, last year, both times well on their way to their first podium finish at Worlds and look what happens. On the bright side maybe they'll stick around longer and hopefully all is not lost and they can still compete.

As for Tessa's SD dress I gotta go with the 4CC one.

During an interview at the Olympics (with Peter Carruthers?) Scott said that he liked the Mahler program so much that he wanted to keep on skating it - he didn't want the season to stop .

But yes, I get the impression that he really enjoys the Funny Face program a lot too. Actually, I think he loves to skate, period. Retiring will be hard for him.

I get the same impression. His whole world is about skating . . . his family runs a skating club, his cousins compete in synchro skating, his girlfriend is a figure skater.

We can take solace in the fact that he plans to coach later on, which is exciting!

I am sure he will working in skating World. I think he will be a godd specialist in technique and COP. And he have a great personality and could be team leader.
But i wish they will coaching with Tessa together- she will be great choreographer :)
But i am sure after retirement, they will skate in shows during some time.

P/B have long been one of my favorite ice dance teams, and I think they're terribly underrated in general. They do seem to have the worst luck though. I'm hoping they still get to compete, but more than that, I hope they do whatever is best for Nathalie's health.

I'm also hoping that Tessa and Scott, as well as the rest of the competitors, stay injury and illness free.

I feel really badly for Nathalie and Fabian, for this to happen when their country is hosting the event is especially sad.

So gutted for Nathalie & Fabian. I've had a broken nose & just bending down was agony. You feel like your head is going to explode.
So unlucky for them:(

Oh no. :( I hadn't heard about this yet. Are they out of worlds for sure? This is so terrible for them, especially since it means they'll be missing out on a home country worlds.

That would really change things up in terms of the bronze. It looks like it'd be between W/P and the Shibutanis without them. I guess B/S as well, but they haven't faired well against the other two all season. Based on the year, W/P have a huge advantage since they've beaten the Shibs many times, but who knows. Ice is slippery.

Everything I've read (P/B's facebook page and an icenetork article) has indicated that they're waiting to make the decision. Nathalie even postponed surgery because it would make it more difficult for her to breathe. She's had a special mask made to protect her face in practice, and right now they're still training, just seeing how she feels.

Really feeling bad for P/B -- they really seem to be a pair whom bad luck follows. Here's to Nathalie getting better soon.

Just watched Averbukch show and was impressed with this Domnina-Marinin number. Why Averbukch didnt work with competitive skaters?

But don't you think that Averbukh is repeating himself a little bit too much? One couple is dancing on the floor and the other one is dancing on the ice but other than that...
