Did anyone see E!'s Fashion Police last night? The guy on the show voted Paltrow's dress as BOTH best and worst dressed. Huh??? Said it was "too perfect", so it was his worst. Don't know why I watch that show .

I love George, he's a perfect pocket-sized gay sidekick, but sometimes his choices are  beyond belief.

He also like J-Lo's salute to Minoan haute couture (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yv2JzgDluLY/TY891OSpJjI/AAAAAAAAAvc/EIJfdKk86u8/s1600/Minoan-palace-scene.jpg)......

My top two were Gwyneth and Meryl. Both looked amazing from head to toe. Viola is a distant runner-up. Loved everything except the green color of the dress.

Wrong that they did not mention Milla. Otherwise, my fave was Gwyneth.

I thought Mila looked great but the eyes she was making at the camera were just so hilariously over the top. I could practically hear a director in the background yelling "Yes, Mila, make love to the camera!! Sexy eyes, Mila, SEXY!!"

I didn't love her dress but her hair and makeup were flawless IMO.

Honestly, if I never hear another variation of "[insert actress here] needs to eat a sandwich/burger/cookie/etc." as long as I live, it'll be way too soon.

God it must suck to be a woman in Hollywood sometimes.

Genevive Valentine (writer, LJ blogger, noted for doing lovely red carpet recaps) noted that it's kind of ironic that actresses reach a certain skinny tipping point (and yes, some of them are too thin for their frames- if you see ribs/backbone through the BACK and obvious definition of the proximal tibia/distal femur, they are TOO THIN) and then Hollywood/the media goes "GASP! She is le thin! Tragedy!" when it's not like these women lost weight in a vacuum and if they AREN'T that thin it's "Wow, she's let herself go"....Makes me wonder if H'wood/entertainment media are less horrified by the lollipop look than by how being underweight makes you look much older than you really are, and being old for a woman is even WORSE than being "fat" in Hollywood.

Also been awhile since I've last watched Star Trek : The Undiscovered Country and you know something? Anyone else in full on Klingon makeup spouting Shakespeare would have been beyond campy and tacky. Mr. Plummer is one of the very, very, very few who not only made it work, but knocked it out of the park.

REALLY funny thing about that? William Shatner first met Christopher Plummer when Shatner was his understudy at the Stratford Festival. Doing Shakespeare. That just adds a whole new level of fun to Plummer's hamming it up ("LET SLIP the dogs of WAR!") and Kirk thinking he's evil from the get-go.

I kind of feel bad for Plummer that every keeps bringing up "The Sound of Music." Allegedly, he DESPISED it.

I'm sure he's crying all the way to the bank. ;) And he seems to have made his peace with it by now, anyway.

I really didn't like the velvet material of Angelina's dress, it was too stiff. I think she was trying to fill out the space around herself to make her look not so thin, but it didn't work. Even the leg thing would have been better with a softer material.
