The first time in three years I can relax and watch the Oscars and so far reading my book is more interesting. Yawn. Who scripts this stuff? It's embarrassing that Hollywood can't put together a decent awards show.

And much as I used to love him, Crystal is past his sell-by date.

Crystal has too many preservatives now. After the end of the world, Crystal will be hosting the Apocalypse Awards with dancing cockroaoches

Emma Stone is clearly drunk. Or the bow is strangling her blood supply to her brain. Freaking love her.

Emma is just naturally funny and charming. The material still is weak.

Emma Stone. No.

Worst Dressed nominee!

I'm with you. And she had too many Red Bulls, maybe to illuminate that awful dress.

She used to be really cute, then they poured her into the starlet mold.

Real Steel was so much better than I thought it would be. Glad it got a nomination for effects this year. :)

I just finished doing my nails. What else can I do to kill time between the actual awards? Hmmm.....

I love how every time HP is nominated, we get to see Jason Isaacs. :swoon:

I am thinking about turning it off and reading who won on CNN or somewhere in the morning

I think I would prefer no host if they are going to make it so boring.

Okay. That's the second funny political joke.

Please - Christopher Plummer! He's gonna give an amazing speech.

Jonah Hill is giving me Marisa Tomei moment vibes, though. :cold:

Okay. That's the second funny political joke.
But then he ruins it by commenting on how he likes that one because it's actually funny.

I still haven't figured out how Jonah Hill got that nomination. The Brad Pitt connection? I liked Moneyball, but his performance was nothing special.
