Has this year been a really weak year for animated films or what? Rango? Wasn't it horribly received?

Hopefully The Secret Life of Arriety is good and can be a contender next year.

The first time in three years I can relax and watch the Oscars and so far reading my book is more interesting. Yawn. Who scripts this stuff? It's embarrassing that Hollywood can't put together a decent awards show.

And much as I used to love him, Crystal is past his sell-by date.

I agree, and this is embarrassing. I think i will skip next year.

I just saw about 20 variations of "he should have thanked Pixar for putting out Cars 2 this year" on my Twitter feed.

No worries, I'm sure they'll be back next year with Brave.

Trying to get through the show, but Billy Crystal is a snooze-fest. Perhaps they should bring back Chris Rock to host the show next year.

Billy Crystal was always such a riot in the past, I really thought he could "save" the show for me this year. Alas.
