This event has at times not been legit. Pia Zadora won a gg award after her rich husband did some bribing in the 70s early 80s, plus there were some other controversies that then they tried to clean up their image.

Pia Zadora - we spent new years in Vegas in the 80's and met her at a new years event we were at.. wonder what ever happened to her :confused: I didn't know that about the legit comment - but usually what Ricky says has some truth behind it which is why people get nervous..

Madonna won for Evita. To give Madonna her due, it was a solid performance, and she never sang better as she did in that movie. It was not, however, anywhere near major award caliber.
