Interesting Tweet from Nagasu..

"Why don't you go show us your moves then? Let's see your seven triple, four minute long program." <-- what I want to say to criticism. Lol

Here's this season's SB pre-4CC-

7 179.15 Alissa CZISNY USA ISU GP Trophee E. Bompard 2011 19.11.2011
8 173.22 Mirai NAGASU USA ISU GP Cup of China 2011 05.11.2011
9 172.69 Gracie GOLD USA ISU JGP Tallinn Cup 2011 15.10.2011
14 165.65 Ashley WAGNER USA ISU GP NHK Trophy 2011 12.11.2011
22 156.58 Vanessa LAM USA ISU JGP Austria 2011 30.09.2011
25 153.84 Samantha CESARIO USA ISU JGP Baltic Cup 2011 16.09.2011
27 152.48 Christina GAO USA ISU GP Cup of China 2011 05.11.2011
28 151.91 Courtney HICKS USA ISU JGP Brisbane 2011 09.09.2011
30 149.38 Agnes ZAWADZKI USA ISU GP Rostelecom Cup 2011 26.11.2011
33 147.63 Rachael FLATT USA ISU GP Rostelecom Cup 2011 26.11.2011
35 146.74 Hannah MILLER USA ISU JGP Trofeo W. Lombardi 2011 08.10.2011
44 140.70 Caroline ZHANG USA and so on down the line.....

With Cesario posting a higher SB than our bronze and pewter medalists, and also higher than the 5th and 6th place finishers from Nationals, I can't understand people saying she wasn't a medal contendor. Last year she had underrotation issues but not nearly as much this year. That's not to say a medal was guaranteed but she deserved to be in the discussion...I just hope one year she can get to Nationals uninjured and actually prove that. :/

But then I guess the doubters are the same people that said Ashley's talk was all hype and that she'd never skate a clean short at Nationals. People are full of negative talk until someone shuts them up with a good performance. I guess two very fine bronze medal skates on the JGP and incredible skating at Liberty Open don't count for much with the doubters since it wasn't on US tv. :blah:

Ashley's SP score at 4CC... Wow, so the international judges have decided to give her to props to score well! And from what it looks like, she might have went for the 3-3.

I'm so proud to have a ladies national champion who is actually competing for medals n shiz like that. :kickass: Not even a full point PCS behind Mao, and a point ahead of Kanako. I think we need to find all the posters who said she won't be taken seriously internationally and send them a bunch of :blah::P and

Yeah, Ashley went for the 3-3, but two footed the second jump. Mao screwed up on her triple axel attempt, I think it was 2 footed and underrotated, from what I could see.

Not a good competition for the ladies tonight in general.

I didn't get a chance to see Mao, Ashley or Kanako skate, but I got home in time to see Caroline Zhang skate. She went for the 3l-3l and rotated it, but had to step out of the landing. She was clean on the rest of her elements, sold the program and scored really well (58.74). If she'd landed that, she'd likely have scored 60+ which is a big deal in an international event! I'm so proud of her. :rollin: If she has a good LP, she will finish top 5 which will be such a huge accomplishment.

Agnes went down on her 3t-3t attempt but was clean the rest of the way. Methinks she's out of medal contention but she can move up if she skates better in her LP. I have to wait for them to post the rest of the programs before I comment on anyone else, but I'm thrilled with the standings of the top 4! :D

Looking at the protocols, it doesn't seem like Ashley's 3-3 was two footed...

Interesting Tweet from Nagasu..

:shuffle: Maybe not the most constructive attitude right now, Mirai . . .

Well, maybe she's just trying to keep her spirits up.

It was. You could see it on the replay but I'm happy the judges kept her close to Asada-and now she's getting better PCS scores. Her SP is my second fave this year after Leonova's quirky 'Pirates'.

Okay, yeah I just saw her SP. It was pretty clearly 2-footed, but it's interesting she didn't as many neg. GOEs.

And her spins got better to the very least...
