How nice the audience stood up for her. Who was the female commentator?

She was so good. :swoon: I was one of the few who never gave up on her. With some tweaking, and obviously rotating that first combo, this is a top 3 after the World Championships SP. That's such an amazing achievement for her to put a SP like this together after the past 3 years, even if she tanks the long she now knows there's no need to give it up :D And that layback was phenominal, as was the flip!

Tonia Kwiatkowski (I'm pretty sure I just butchered the spelling of her last name...) She competed in the early 90s to 1998. Her not making the 1998 Olympic team was so heartbreaking, but she made up for it by skating probably her best performance at 1998 Worlds.

Usfs needs to send their top ladies a copy of "the secret"
I can't believe all of the negative thoughts sent out into the universe: "I was soo nervous, and then I wasn't nervous, so then I was nervous that I wasn't nervous"
Even "it's my nationals to lose" is too much of a self fulfilling phrophecy, never mind talk of curses, etc...

Reposting this news from the 2012 US Nationals forum:

Courtney [Hicks] has been spotted at Paramount Iceland, recently, starting out the re-training process. She appears to be making good progress and seems to be enthusiastic regarding her coming back to the ice. So much, that I overheard a rink coach tell her not to overdo it, as she just got back.

She will be back next season, to be sure.
