That's kinda true, Rachael doesn't seem to w/d from anything no matter how injured or poorly she's skating...

Alissa's jumps in that show don't look so good. If newcomers land 3-4 more clean jumps than Alissa I hope the scores are done properly, especially considering Alissa's FS is the biggest snooze of a program I think I've ever seen...sorry to those who like it. :/

...Czisny...I don't know. I do think she is not as "off" as everyone here is making her out to be. She had a decent fall, (my emphasis) was injured at the GPF, and shows don't count.

When I read this I interpreted it as a decent fall as in fall on the ice ....:D

 You are right, of course. I shouldn't be so unfair. I'd like to retract my previous statement and say that I believe that each lady in the competition has the potential for mediocrity (and I fear that statement is more realistic than sarcastic :shuffle:)

ITA!!! What a perfect discription for our senior ladies -- mediocre!!

Is Flatt injured or is everyone just guessing? I hope she is healthy and skates well. May the best performances win medals.

from the last article:
Rebirth after a difficult 2011, which was marked by injury and struggle on the ice. ...
Flatt trained in Colorado Springs over the winter break, skated in a couple of ice shows in Vail and did physical therapy on her sore right ankle, trying to mend it in time to compete at the highest level.

Now, it's time to get back to class and ramp up preparations for what could be a defining event in Flatt's already accomplished career....
She has been battling an ankle injury and adjusting to juggling her competitive skating career with a demanding academic schedule and the life of a college student.

She's so cute. Hope she can skate well at nationals, I found her mids performances very impressive! Now that she has all her triples and might do a 3-3 or 2a-3t in her programs, I think she has the potential to do quite well at nationals, maybe top 8 or even 5, have a debut like Gao or Lam did. I'd like to see her compete at junior worlds, but it's hard to say what kind of placement would warrant that assignment, as the junior ladies field is really strong and a lot of other senior ladies (Zawadzki, Gao, Siraj, Keiser, Lam, Cesario, Wang...)
are age eligible. Anyways good luck to Nina! I really like her jazzy SP, idk if it's the dress or her build or the way she moves or what but she really reminds me of Yuna in that program!

We haven't heard much from Caroline. I am hoping she has pulled it together since the fall competitions.
Maybe her first individual, senior ISU win will give her the boost she needs.

^^I think if Caroline can pull two decent skates out of her hat, she might find herself in the top 6 or 7, which is a huge improvement from her 11th place finish last year (IIRC).

I still have a soft spot for her. She's addressed her problems and seems to be getting better. She has more spring in her jumps, more speed around the ice and her attitude seems to be much improved which is always great. I hope she does well here.

I hope she'll be in full shape at nationals

Interesting costume. It's like a shear, see-through nightgown.

Whoa. That takes visible panty line to a whole new level!!

I'm surprised -- Alissa usually has better taste in costumes than that.

Maybe this is her way of trying to attract viewers and increase ratings? :shuffle:

^ 2nd (and thus a world team berth) wouldn't be too shabby for her IMHO

I would't consider making the World team for the first time in 4 years a failure -which she would get if she finishes second. Same holds true for a potential third top 3 finish at Nationals.
