of course we can't truly compare since it also depends on how long they competed, but I thought it'd be interesting to see some jump statistics for the most consistent skaters in the sport.

heather compiled an amazing list for michelle that is very detailed, and I've also seen one for yu-na, but I'm interested in seeing one for irina slutskaya, mao asada, etc.

I guess a more generic way to word this is, who are the most consistent skaters in the sport, male and female?

Are you counting only those triples that were perfectly performed? (No step-outs, no under-rotations, for example?) Because there are plenty under COP that look perfect, but aren't.

lol same with 6.0 though..and are we counting flutzes ahahaha

if we were to be such sticklers I think we'd have to stick with the 7 triple performances. there's way too many 6 triple performances to sort through :P

Michelle Kwan did so many 7 and 6 triples performances. IMO, she is the one with the most.

IIRC, Maria Butyrskaya did 7 triples once : 1999 Worlds LP.

Kristi Yamaguchi had a 7 triple performance at the 1992 US nationals and worlds too, I think. The latter may have been a 6-triple (I don't remember if she landed the 3 sal at worlds; she did at the nationals).

Kwan: 1995 Worlds, 1995 Fall Skate America, 1996 Nationals, 1996 Worlds, 1997 Worlds, 1997 Fall Skate America, 1998 Nationals, 1998 Olympics, 1998 Worlds (but fell on double axel), 2000 Worlds, 2001 Nationals, 2001 Worlds, 2002 Nationals, 2002 Worlds, 2003 Nationals, 2003 Worlds, 2004 Nationals, 2004 Worlds (She hit either 6 or 7 triples in all of these)

Butryskaya: 1999 Worlds.. 2001 Worlds and maybe the controversial NHK that she lost to Irina but should've won?

Anyone care to add to this list of 6 or 7 triples??

The first seven triple woman was of course Midori, but did she ever do eight?

As far as I know, no woman has skated a 7 triple LP in the Europeans since 2003. Alisa Drei did it then, maybe some of the medalists did too.

Michelle might be the gatekeeper of this one! No one seems to be able to produce more than a once or twice instance for anyone else...

Butyrskaya landed six triples in the free skate at 2000 NHK, eys: 3z2t, 3f, 3t and 3s in sequence, 3z, 3r.

Kwan: 1995 Worlds, 1995 Fall Skate America, 1996 Nationals, 1996 Worlds, 1997 Worlds, 1997 Fall Skate America, 1998 Nationals, 1998 Olympics, 1998 Worlds (but fell on double axel), 2000 Worlds, 2001 Nationals, 2001 Worlds, 2002 Nationals, 2002 Worlds, 2003 Nationals, 2003 Worlds, 2004 Nationals, 2004 Worlds (She hit either 6 or 7 triples in all of these)

Kwan's 2004 Worlds FS was a five-triple performance: 3r, 3z2t, 3f, 3s2t, 3t. The second lutz was doubled. 1999 US Nats was a six-triple performance (would've been seven but for the fall on the second lutz). The 1998 World Pros TP was a seven-triple performance.

Are we counting programs with visible underrotations also?
