ITA! I mean despite all the money and endorsements she's fought and fought to get back to where she was pre- shoulder injury. You have to admire her tenacity and somehow keeping her chin up through the really bad times and all those freakin' double faults!!! I have every respect for the way she has kept at it, for how much drive she still has to win and for how much she obviously cares about the sport. And now it all pays off; she's a career grand slam winner and is back to No.1 in the World. You have to hand it to her :respec:

Errani will jump from 24th in ranking to #13. Four Italian women in the top 20. Excellent, most of any country in the top 22.

Errani is 25 years old.

I thought she was older than that. My mistake.

:P She is natural ...

An interesting note on Errani's Major and tier 5 final appearances in both singles and doubles so far. She has only met russians, 7 different ones as well, Sharapova here... In doubles Kuznetsova/Zvonereva (Aus Open), Kirilenko/Petrova (Miami, Here) and Makarova/Vesnina (Madrid and Rome)

Mirnyi/Nestor up a set vs. The Boys.

This match-up just hurts me, 'cuz I really dig Nestor. Le sigh, le grand sigh.......

The weather looks rather iffy for the men's final. Radar shows rain is just west of Paris and should be moving in shortly. Seems unlikely we'll get through this match without at least some delays.

Holy Smokes  If it keeps going this way, this isn't going to be much of a final... :scream:
