Here's hoping Rafa can improve his record on Djokovic this year to 3-1. Rafa is playing the best tennis I've ever seen his play. He will be focused and poised to make history of winning his 7th FO title. First man in the open era to have 7 FO titles.

History will be made Sunday which ever man wins - that says something for the strength of mens tennis at the moment :)

It breaks my heart to say it but I don't see Fed winning another GS at this rate :(. But he has had a fantastic run and no-one can keep winning forever :)

Disappointing pair of semi's, but let's hope for a classic finale!

Not sure who to root for in the men's final. I generally root for Rafa, but I wouldn't mind seeing Nole achieve the career slam. Plus to be one of the very few to hold all four majors at once would be amazing. Here's hoping despite Rafa's astounding abilities on clay, Nole's own abilities to defeat Rafa over the past year & half will lead to a very competitive championship match!

Rooting for Rafa.

Something about Djokovic rubs me the wrong way. And that rarely happens to me, not in real life, not with people on TV.

Really hoping for Maria tomorrow to get ger career slam and then off to Wimbledon and the Olympics! At least if Errani loses she has some consolation in the fact that she won the doubles today with Roberta Vinci, and Vinci is damn good on grass as well so they have to be the favorites for the Olympics (if the Williams sisters don't enter of course), in which case if the sisters are in, I think Errani and Vinci are the silver medal faves! I think Maria will be just too strong though tomorrow.

Now onto the men, to me this isn't going to be much of a contest, Nadal in straight sets easily. His level these last two weeks has just been sick. The way he just utterly destroyed Monaco, Almagro and Ferrer, all excellent clay courters in their own right has just been a site to behold. I think Novak will fight as much as he can but Nadal owns this surface. He's hungry and there's no way he will lose. Nadal 6-3, 6-4, 6-3.

I'm thinking easy(ish) wins for Maria and Rafa.

I'm rooting for Nole.

The way Nadal has been playing for the past two weeks reminds me of 2008 when he just destroyed everyone at FO, but Djokovic just knows how to not lose at the slam it seems. Plus, I'm a Nole fan. Anyway, let's hope it's gonna be a good match. I've already seen more than enough of Nadal slaughter on clay.

I agree - though if Errani gets a good start that could make it a little more interesting in the womens game.

Novak hasn't played brilliantly but has stepped up when it really mattered. However Nadal has just been a steamroller and unless he suddenly has a huge dip in form I don't see him losing. He may lose a set but still the title is his to lose I believe. The fact that Rafa beat Novak on clay this year is going to help Nadal get past the fact that Novak has had his nuimber the past year or so.

Masha looks great...

ETA: soon after i type that Masha is down 0-40 on her serve

Well, I'm glad Errani's making this more competitive; at first I was afraid she wouldn't even win a game. Still hope Maria wins this, though.

4-2 now.

Monica Seles :swoon: in the crowd. How do you real about the grunt level monica, these two are truly your successors.

Sharapova lead 5-2

Sara saves 2 set points and forces Maria to serve it out...

ETA: Maria serves it out and takes the first set 6-3.
