Easy win by Novak but Murray didn't look as comfortable. I really can't see him winning here in Australia - I think the US is still Andy's best bet for a major but he is slowly running out of time to get one and I am unsure he will ever do it.

Fish goes down to Falla. Bummer for Mardy. :(

Federer gets a walkover into the 3rd round because Beck withdrew from the match due to a back injury.

Sorry that Beck had to withdraw, but the extra rest will be good for Roger.

YAY! :cheer2:

It's a huge win for him.

Since Fish started taking lessons from the Andy Roddick School of On-court Etiquette, I'm not really too disappointed he's lost.

Nalbandian was robbed.  Crappy way to lose such a close match to Isner, though credit to John for pulling it out.

^What happened? There's much moaning about it on one of the other boards, too.

Not sure what I think of Tomic...

I saw Monica Niculescu lost two break chances against Pauline Parmentier and then managed to drop her own serve for 3-4 in the 2nd set, so I figured she was done and went off to bed. She -of course!- decides to win her second 3-setter of the tournament. As long as Caroline W's wrist holds up, I'm not sure she can get past round 3, though.

And, it must be an Olympic year because I'm following all these sports I normally don't pay much attention to :shuffle:.

Frankie S wilted in the heat and lost :(

Vania King scores an upset of #15 Anastasia P. Pulled it out. Pam S had Vania sing in the interview. Vania has a sweet voice.

Vania :D

I'm sad Kanepi lost though :(

Watching Marion Bartoli is rather like watching an overeager schoolgirl, anxious to impress in her first tournament on the public park. Or something. Meanwhile, Jelena Dokic has forgotten how to serve. She's also aged quite a bit :(

I do enjoy Petra Kvitova. Her English interviews are bizarrely amusing. She sounds off her tits. Also she's very pretty off-court, in a nice, natural, down-to-earth way.
