Congrats Nole! Marathon man.

Though I wanted Nole to win, I do feel for Rafa. He looks sick. You can tell he wanted that BAD.

I agree - Rafa looked so sad - and after the early break he had in the 5th I thought he was going to take it - but Novak has developed an awesome mentality - he just never gave up. One of the greatest finals we have seen in recent years.

I wonder if this loss was destroy Nadal. I am not sure psychologically how he can come back from this. It is his 7th straight loss in a final to Djokovic, and he put 150% into it and came so close.

Even for Rafa standards, he was intense today. This is what I mean re: wanting it "bad". I've never seen him so determind. To still lose, after all that, will hurt. Alot.

I"m absolutely crushed for Rafa.

Crushed. But he will recover from this. It's in his nature. He'll pull from this that he was so so close and each time he gets closer to defeating him. They tweaked his game for this tourney to put more weight on the stings of the racket. It helped him in this match, he needs to flatten out the backhand more and use it more up the line. It was successful against Novak today as it was with Andy Murray. He has to continue to believe that Novak will not continue to play like this forever.

My dislike for Novak's hot dogging you are aware of. I think the some fans of the game are getting of tired of it as I am.

So the question is has Novak got it in him to win the Grand Slam - heck the Golden Slam this year? I think he may have it in him - it will be interesting to watch anyways.

^My parents were NOT impressed with his post-match celebrations  He also made a few gestures during the Murray match, well before the end, that I know rubbed people up the wrong way.

One (bad) thing I think about this match: has the AO always been this slow?! It's like RG out there.

In regards to Caroline. She has some tools she can develop. Her forehand has huge potential to become a weapon. Caroline has a great movement, she needs to work on her serve and becoming more aggressive off the baseline. Also, she's a smart player she had to start thinking more strategically out there. She needs to hire a new coach, if she serious.

Novak is much liked on the tour by other players. This was before last season.

They changed the surface this season; it's actually more like a hard court so it's suppose to be faster. But some players, including Rafa were talking about problems with the surface. He tweaked his knee in the first match, some other players mentioned the "tackiness" of the court, especially near the alleys and the sidelines.

Murray is going to a huge threat this season. I already see huge improvements with his attitude and will to play. For moments of that match he controlled and dictated points againt Novak.

Almost forgot, here is the article on Taylor Townsend. She has a wonderful personality.

Taylor Townsend wins Double and Girl Title at the Aussie Open (http://espn.go.com/blog/high-school/girl/post/_/id/1539/taylor-townsend-takes-two-aussie-trophies)

She's a lefty with a big serve, enjoys coming into the net and has great movement. Remind you of anyone?

I think he will win the French and complete his Career Slam, but will lose to Nadal or Murray at Wimbledon.

Caroline Wozniacki already split with her new coach Ricardo Sanchez after two months; she's back to being coached by her father.

Probably a slew of 2nd round losses like she had in the 2nd half of last year. Maybe a drop out of the top 10 in the rankings. What she was doing with him clearly wasnt working anymore, why would she think it is going to start now, especialy when the womens field is finally getting stronger again.
