Well, in this situation it seems they have to be, if the other party doesn't believe in getting divorced.

Well my question is if she didn't believe in getting divorced, why did she marry him so quickly? Apparently they were having intense counseling sessions before the marriage. Now I'm in big fair of premarital counseling (but it didn't sound like that kind of counseling.. :lol: In fairness I do know people who got engaged after 3 months of dating; are happy today. So I absolutely wouldn't say its wrong. But you would think if they were getting all kinds of red flags before the marriage (like the rumors were stating) they'd have postponed the wedding.

One thing I'll give Katy points for is that she sings with her own voice, unlike many popstars who rely on a lot of effects etc to create their sound.

She does rely on a lot of studio engineering.


Ah, now it all makes sense. He must've married her because he liked her first CD, but when the second one came out, he realized he'd made a mistake and filed for divorce.

Like her or not, 2011 was a smashing success for Perry.

She's only the third artist in the history of the Billboard Top 100 to have SIX top 5 singles from the same album (five of them have hit #1, tying Michael Jackson for the most). That is impressive.

I love Madonna, she's an icon but I don't think she's more creative that Gaga. Gaga is artist and has musical skills Maddie does not possess.

Gaga and Madonna share fearlessness and business minded attitude but that's about as far the comparisons go for me. Gaga is a musician.



Gaga has arguably the better trained voice, but both write and produces their own music. So I don't understand why "Gaga is a musician" and Madonna isn't. What kind of musical skills does Gaga have that Madge doesn't? So Gaga sits down and play the piano occasionally. Big deal. You can find much better piano playing all over utube by unknowns.

Writing your own songs = You actually do it
Co-writing your own songs = "I'm gonna pay you triple for that song but I'll be included as a co-writer and we're gonna split the royalties. Is that cool with you?"

Perry, she's a fun singer. I've heard her sing a few shows live and she's horrible. She is very good studio produced singer.This.
Autotune is her friend. But she's not alone here. The days of true singers who could belt out songs without enhancements are seemingly gone. There are a few here and there, but nowadays it's all about having a gimmick.

Gaga didn't just write songs for herself, she writes songs for other people. She started out in the business as a song writer. I don't think necessarily cowriting means you have nothing to do with the song (in all cases).

I can't stand watching Lady Gaga. But I can respect her as someone who can play her own instrument, write her own music, and actually sing. I actually like her music but can't stand watching her so much, she seems to be a complete train wreck.

The difference between her and Madonna though is Madonna is sexy; I don't think Lady Gaga really is. But I like both of their music. Still though I think as a musician Lady Gaga is better; I'd rather see Madonna perform though.

Her gimmicks completely hide the fact that she does actually have a gorgeous voice. Then she goes back to the whole persona and I stop liking her.

Though I do also have to give Gaga kudos for having Alexander Skarsgard in her Paparazzi video - girl has smarts to hire him to make out with her and roll around in bed with him for the video, while he gropes her ass. Very smart lady!

I agree on the gimmicks I think she's capable of more musically too (without the gimmicks). Still girl has some serious training too. Went to Tisch one of the top performing art schools in the USA. The fact that Gaga has talent is one of the few reasons I can stand her; over the Mileys of the music world.

I'm not really sure Lady Gaga really cares so much about being sexy. Madonna has always done the whole sex sells thing. Lady Gaga seems to be selling freak. And it's obviously working.
