I think the poll would be better if you specified what season you're talking about. Elizaveta and Adelina were junior skaters at the beginning of the year, but are now seniors for this season. In terms of January to March/April, Adelina was the best junior skater; she won everything. You can't include Elizaveta in the junior skater talk for this season (October to November) because she's a senior. In terms of junior skaters this season, obviously Julia Lipnitskaia is the best (she's undefeated as well).

It's for the calendar year 2011 to Mark the end of 2011. An awkward fit granted given that it covers the second half of the 2010/11 season and the first half of the 2011/12 season. It was difficult to know where to put Tuk and Sot but decided ultimately to put them in this poll given that they spent most of 2011 in juniors. There are though good arguments for putting Tuk in the seniors poll. Nevertheless, I think that Ando (world champ) and Kostner (GP Champ) should have definitely been in. Hence, it would then have come down to a choice between Asada and Tuk. I would have chosen Asada anyway as I thought she skated brilliantly in her 2 GP events and only tragedy prevented from taking her place in the final - which I think she would have won had she competed.

Maofan7, you should have included Michelle in this poll too.

I voted for Lipnitskaya, she was so impressive in the JGP.

I picked Tuktamisheva because of the success she had in the senior competitions, but I don't know if that means we cannot consider her to be a junior. Since she cannot compete at senior worlds, and she will be at the Youth Olympics, I just voted for her as the best JUNIOR skater of the year.

I voted for Yan Han.
He will be a great male skater. Maybe in a few years.

Yes, I voted for him, too. He and Nan Song will be great competitors for China.

I would say Tuk just because of what she did on the Junior circuit
Otherwise, Han Yan and Lipnitskaya are two that I love

Jason Brown is the only one I've seen so I voted for him. But not for that reason LOL.

I think he has v nice style and nice technique and hope he goes on to great success in seniors :)

Really surprised that the pairs skaters and ice dance teams have not got more votes.

Sotnikova really should have more votes, considering she is the 2011 World junior champ. That said, I voted for Lipnitskaya. :P
