I don't think it matters that much how their polka is, it's all about the FD.

Sorry, ar you talking about Delobel-Schonfelder FDs?

No, I mean having watched this season to date I think it's the same as it's always been. If the judges love your FD it doesn't really matter what your SD is like (outside of the elements).

eta...LOL

if you watch skatebuzz videos on skatecanada, at the end, it asks you if you want to email the video. has anyone been able to successfully email the video? i ask because i hope in that email will be some link i can use for my blog. right now, i can't link to skatebuzz videos. there's no direct link for each interview.

I hadn't seen this Yankee polka before and after watching some on YouTube (trying to anyways), I just...I just can't! I couldn't sit through any of them. And the music are they all gonna be like that :scream:.

If the ISU values the ears of its judges, they won't require polka music outright.

And if they do, you can just find me over here rocking back and forth in a fetal position. ;)

Should be pretty interesting to see what the musical selections will be for the polka SD. Maybe with the right music, it won't be so bad and yes, I'll be joining you guys in the fetal position if they're all required to dance to strictly polka music.

They did a polka od during the 91/92 olympic season and I found it very successful. The precise quick footwork would be a good fit for Tessa and Scott.

As long as Tessa doesn't bring back the matching Princess Leia buns. :P

Polka!?! NOOOOOOOO!:scream:
I thought it was gonna be the quickstep.

I'm already rocking back and forth just thinking about it. The only solace I can take is that it's not the Olympic year.

I love the Yankee Polka. It's :kickass: in its cheesiness. There's so much room for drama, camp, explosions of color, and general OTT-ness. The matching Princess Leia buns only make it better. I say bring it on!!

I hate the YP. And I really didn't like Tessa's dress that she wore for it in '08.

I wonder what other rhythms they are going to match with it. Waltz?
