For me its will be funny to read this thread after WCh - so buy-buy? no more crazy pani :D

And you will jump in and post 'I told you so' with a large grin of satisfaction on your face.:D And everybody else will be extending deep apologies for not having taken you seriously.:respec:
Right, Pani?;)

They get feedback from judges, sure, and their federation, but what I'm getting at is if you are puzzled by PCS (and how it might fit into a bigger trend, partly for you and partly for the sport), you need to discuss these broader questions with someone knowledgeable and who you trust, someone outside your current scene (because frankly Marina and Igor are in a conflict-of-interest position - I'm not knocking them, that's just how it is.)

Hmm, Marina and Igor have been in a conflict-of-interest position for almost as long as Tessa and Scott can remember, I believe, and V/M have repeatedly said that they trust their coaches.

Great blog, iggie.

Thank you!

yes, especially since there is a real issue they could have touched on -- scott's reaction to what happened after his comments. i still find it odd that charlie was the one speaking, speaking on behalf of scott, even telling us what scott thinks. but as for that, in the nationals preview on cbc, pj said that she spoke to scott about it and he said... it's like looking in the rear view mirror. i want to move on.

IN has an article and interview with V&M (mostly with Scott) about the changes in the free dance and SD that they have made.

It has some new quotes.

That interviewer was AWFUL!!! Do you eat fast food? TV: Yes, Tim Hortons breakfast sandwich with bacon Interviewer: With Sausage? TV: No, with bacon and ketchup Interview: They have breakfast sandwiches?? I only eat dinner...
Obviously not listening and I hated that she kept referring to herself. Completely useless

That was one dumb interview. (I'm so glad to hear how prepared Tessa feels for the competition; her views on the changes they say they've made to the programs; etc etc etc)

And the interviewer referring to herself.

However, I hope they didn't just choose anyone to "interview" in order to make us wish Debbi Wilkes back interviewing the skaters. I'm heartily sick of her interviews, also. (Sorry about the rant)

Sucky interview aside, I did get a chuckle about Tessa saying she does get told she looks like her sister.

Tracy Wilson, expert commentator for CTV and TSN, believes their performance at these championships looms large in their attempt to win back their world title this season.

“It's huge, I think,” said Wilson. “This is where you want to come out and take some risks. Personally, I'm expecting that and I'd like to see it . . . . I will be interested to see how they handled it, because to me it can be a blessing in disguise because you now go on to the next level with your material.

“I think they're not maxing out their capacity. I say that only because they are capable of so much.”
