Oh my what has happened here lol. tapper88 my comment was based on the link iggie provided above and I need to clarify there isn't a quote by Igor saying he wasn't pleased by Scott's comments, it was implied by the author and from Igor's general comments.

Even when Tessa won, she put Davis in the center. Davis never stay in the coner, never ;)

Anyone else read this and think:
"Nobody puts Davis in the corner"

(Dirty Dancing anyone?)

Yes, I did. ;)

And in fact, I'd love to see either team do a Dirty Dancing exhibition.

So, Pani, you think Scott should leave Canton? Who should he partner with this time? Because I very much doubt Tessa wants to leave.

I don't see why you think Tessa and Scott are the victims of some sort of, what, I don't even know. They are adults, Olympic champions and, from what I understand, had a lot to do with the choreography of this program. I just don't get the drama: they're a in great position, they seem to be training great, and hey, they've come up with a beautiful program (that you hate because you want them to skate to Die Fledermaus instead, we get it). So what if they lose Worlds? There's always next year. We are lucky, where are the other Olympic champions? How many titles have they won since? And yet, Tessa and Scott are here and in a great shape. It must be so nerve-wracking to be a fan and never be able to actually enjoy your team's skating because you are so worried about results and their rivals.

Anyway, I, too, am glad that they have decided to address the issues we have been talking about here and that we have read so much about in other sites. I have always admired their willingness to take feedback and make changes based on that. How well will those adjustments fit with the programs? We'll see. I trust them.

Am I missing something? Are we seriously dedicating this much time & thought to where someone sits in a picture!?!

Creating drama that isn't there or certainly not as exciting as we'd like to think. Who said Scott ws bad and Charlie's good? Even it that was true don't we love the bad boy;)

Now onto important stuff. I agree no geese in FF:lol: I love the 'Goose' it's legendary but exhibitions only please and of course I'd die if they could include the 'temptation lift'somehow. It's just thee greatest thing EVER IMO:swoon: but I see that's not to be:( However I'm looking forward to the changes. Makes it exciting.

The thing with The Goose is that it's so unique! I liked to think of that gorgeous lift they did for their SD last year as The Inverted Goose :D. So, yeah, no more Goose unless they can come up with a variation, which I doubt because where else can you go with it? Do you guys remember that other lift they had in Great Gig? God, I want to see that again.

A major player in this controversy about what was said and what it tells us is the media. They are always looking for a "story" that creates strong feelings and gives their article legs. I was especially appalled at the invasive camera shots of Tessa when she came off the ice during the 4 Continents Free Dance last year. These young people, who have devoted their entire lives to this sport, are asked to express their feelings into a microphone seconds after learning a result. I remember Manon Perron often standing beside Joannie after a skate, it seemed by way of protection, even from the media representing her own country. I think the more we talk about a few comments made in the heat of the moment, the more we reward this kind of "getting at the truth".

As far as I'm concerned, it's bordering on yellow journalism.......sensationalist and totally demeaning. I wish the media would give these young people time to collect themselves before shoving cameras and mic's in their faces, and then taking things out of context, or putting on a negative spin.
