Amen to that!!! It's going to be a long off-season so I hope for any tidbits of new available from those who are resourceful enough to find them ;)

Patrick's going to be participating in Yuna's All That Skate? They have great behind-the-scenes vids from their events and I am SO looking forward to those!

I'm sure this has been posted before, but a refresher:

jl22aries, Thank you!
(0:21) Chan is waving to Yuna's bodyguard and she smiles at him. Two look so good together.

If I could have a moment with Patrick I would say "have a great, well deserved break Patrick. I, for one, look so forward to seeing what you bring to the ice next year. I am a proud Canadian and claim you as a national treasure - and feel you have really moved men's skating forward in so many ways. I hope you are in a happy place as a skater and athlete, as well as a young man with so many other talents and interests. I hope you have a chance to be carefree".
Aww… nice words puglover. I think all the skaters deserved a good break before the next season and hard work too.

Thanks jl22aries. Surprisingly, I haven’t seen this vid before. I also love the interactions and interviews with all the skaters. Kurt, as usual, his funny and humorous self. Lambiel and Irina... wow.

The energy and appreciation from the crowd is AMAZING. It just rubs off on the skaters. I am sure, they all love to skate in Korea, most of all .. Patrick. Wish I live in Korea. :)(I visited Seoul late last year and I am amazed how far they have progressed. Would love to visit again in the future .. this time travelling to outside of Seoul). Hope Korea will produce another Yuna soon. I miss Yuna. She’s a technically strong and beautiful skater.

Hmm, so apparently Yuzuru Hanyu is switching to Orser. Certainly adds interest to speculations of where Patrick's Toronto training base will be!

Aw man I am envious of anyone going to All That Skate. Just to be a part of that crowd would be a rush. Have a fab time, totoro8673, and hope to hear about it from you!

^^^ so does it mean that Patrick is unlikely to train with Brian since he took on Hanyu? So what's the speculation? I thought Patrick will still travel back to Colorado to train?

Found some teasers for All That Skate 2012 though not all featured will be there this year. Totoro8673, are you aware who the choreographer will be this year?

jl22aries, Spikydurian, Thank you!
I bought a telephoto lens just in case. (Sadly I don't take photographs well.)
But I think Chantastics will record his image with their camera and put it up on Youtube.
The executive director of All that Skate is David Wilson again this time.
Chan's choreographer? I don't know well but I believe that Chan would do a great job with any choreographer!

That clip is so adorable! How fitting to have all those Canadian legends in mens figure skating with another future legend :)

I am not from Ontario and so I don't know any of the politics between clubs/coaches/skaters but I have seen an affectionate video of Brian Orser and a very young Patrick obviously at the same rink. I have heard Brian say many complimentary things about Patrick and his amazing skill on the blade. Does any one else ever wonder why Patrick didn't stay in Toronto and go to Brian at the time of Mr. Colson's passing or since? It seems his family expenses would have been less, Lori Nichol is there, he gets his skates sharpened there. I know Brian had Yuna from around the beginning of his coaching career and Adam Rippon - but it has always surprised me that Patrick didn't go in the Brian direction.

My understanding is that Patrick will train in Colorado with Kathy, and that he's still in need of a technical coach, someone based in Toronto. I'm guessing his off season will be half spent in both locations. As for his time during the grand prix I have NO idea. The schedule is so go go go, I couldn't imagine flying back and forth from coast to coast during the season once it gets going.

But seriously, your guess is as good as mine.

Here's a super brief clip of Kurt and Patrick at SC 2008:
