I dunno, I thought Ross handled that with good humour.

But I hated the interviewer in general.

Oh, I totally agree Ross handled it like a champ. I meant the interviewer was making it awkward.

Seems like Patrick finally 'got' the 3A jump, he hasn't fallen on or doubled the 3 axel since TEB if memory serves. Maybe he will want to move to a 3A/3T next season although I am more curious about his 4 sal but I guess I'll have to wait a while.

It's amazing to think that despite of his score, there are still ways for him to improve. He talked about 4S before, and heard that he could easily do a 4F. And of course, he only has one 3A in the LP right now, in which he can add another 3A combo. Since he doesn't need any this season, I can see him adding another quad or another 3A next season to up his BV.

I can see another quad or 3A in 2013 and then both in Sochi. Imagine 4 quads and 3 axels in his programs :respec:

I guess we will have to wait and see, jetassian. For now, Patrick says that seeing Takahashi do the quad flip and Brandon Mroz the quad lutz is inspiring him to step forward and try less popular quadruples too. He is planning on practicing the 4F and 4L next summer but he can't promise we will see these jumps in his programs.

You can read his entire interview here:

It seems Patrick delivered that interview for the March issue of the German magazine Pirouette which is this one http://www.pirouette-online.de/product_info.php?info=p95_Nr--3-Maerz-2012.html but I only found a translation into Russian and since I can't speak Russian, I had to run it through online translators.

Does anyone know who that other woman sitting with Kristy and Patrick in the K&C is?
Kathy Johnson was with Patrick and Christy Krall in the K&C at Four Continents.

I didn't see this article link (from late January 2012) posted here: http://thestar.blogs.com/olympics/2012/01/patrick-chan-aka-filet-mignon-on-menu-at-fundraiser.html

He lives and trains in Colorado Springs, working with coach Christy Krall and Kathy Johnson, a modern dance teacher who introduced him to a whole new way to move and breathe. He works with renowned choreographer Lori Nichol and also just recently collaborated with another Canadian great in David Wilson on a new show program "Mannish Boy" that he'll undoubtedly do on Tuesday at the ThinkFirst benefit. It was a smash hit in Japan. (see below)

Thanks for the cool thread Rafter! I will join the Patty uber bandwagon

An extremely belated Me 2.... :respec:

I like how he keeps challenging himself to up his programs despite taking the risk of falling. I love Aranjuez more than POTO because it has more shades in the music. I adore the part where he twirls and swirls and end it with his head and arms towards the sky. OMG, everything I watch that part, I wish I could skate like that. :swoon:

Oh Yesssss!!! Absolutely breathtaking :). (And fast too...that's the part that had me gobsmacked at Skate Canada even though there were some jump errors.

Ihave begged CSOI to have him skate as a guest. Otherwise I may have to go to the Margaret Garrison function as I saw him last year there and he was magnificent!

What is the best advice given? Surround yourself with people who truly cares. What a gem of advice. Our family, our rock. Adversity tests your friends.
Go Patrick go. Take it a year at a time. Do enjoy your competitive years for when you move on, it's a different phase of life altogether. I am lucky to see and enjoy the skills of people like you and others.

CBC has a poll about 2012 World. One of the polls (Who will break Chan's record) is not there anymore, not sure why.
