2 for the history books! Greatest skating performances I've ever seen, hec I said same thing last year, but he topped himself by a mile and a whole bunch of points in 2012 and that's sayin something! Knowing Chan he will only get better thru 4CC and Worlds, I can hardly wait, I may have to buy a big, big, big HD TV in order to experience Chan at his most glorious in times still to come.

Thanks to Chan for all his hard work, his sacrifices, he is a gift to all fans of skating, a national treasure...

So I'm finally home from Moncton (in the parking lot I discovered I had a flat! I had to wait in the freezing cold for CAA to come), but it was all worth it to see the competition live.

Patrick was simply divine. :swoon: Truly. I completely understand his scores now. He really is that much better than pretty much everyone else. He just flies across the ice so fast and effortlessly. And his edges! I liked him before, but I might have to uber him now. Amazing!

Really happy for him for those two performances. The 3A is looking really really good now. Looking forward to the 4CC and WC!

Divine. What can you say. Man I hope he skates this way at Worlds or better if possible. It'll be beyond belief for the whole world to see and there'll be no debate. He's unfreakingbelievable!

Yes, yes! I have tears in my eyes after watching this. How corny? I think not!

I could very clearly hear someone yell "YES!" when he landed the 3A. I wonder if that was his coach, lol.

He was incredible his lp is the greatest COP program ever created for a male skater he breaks 300 at worlds if he skates clean.

LOL yeah! I thought it was PJ Kwong  (just a total guess, it could be anyone).

I LOVE this program now!!! It is one of those programs that you have to be clean to get the emotional impact like Kween's The Red Violin. The first few times he skated to this program I was left underwhelmed by the ending pose. This time, I think that ending pose is my favorite ending pose ever!!!

Jeremy Abbott said this about PC:
Asked what Chan -- who triumphed at the 2011 World Championships by more than 22 points, and handily won the recent Grand Prix Final despite two falls -- does to keep the judges in such thrall, Abbott paused.

"I have no idea," he said. "I admire the quality with which he skates; the control and his edging and his speed are phenomenal. I think in terms of skating skills, he's definitely one of the top in the world. But I definitely think he has things that are lacking.

"They break out the [program] components into five pieces, but they all kind of judge them without separating them out, so maybe Patrick has a 10 in skating skills and lower in interpretation, but they all stay in the same range.

"He is the world champion and the Grand Prix champion, and he just scored 9,000 points at Canadians, so he is definitely the favorite for worlds. But he's not unbeatable."

Maybe if Jeremy had 2 quads, one in combination, he could beat Chan, maybe, but until then????

Jeremy would also need a quad in the SP. bold statement from Jeremy. We'll see how he does at worlds. I'm actually kinda surprised the USFSA would publish those quotes by him.

I read that Chan's new Ex was choreo'd by David Wilson. I was surprised because it looked very Kurt Browning to me.

Abbott is a good skater but too damn slow on the ice plus he makes as many mistakes as chan in major comps so he souldn`t be talking Chan is the best skater in the world.

I am always wary about trusting the press...misquotes happen all the time and we never get the full context of the quote(s). Anyways, I love Jeremy and can't wait to see his FP tm night.

At a time when the level of men's skating is so high, I believe Patrick has really set himself apart. I believe he deserves sky-high PCS because of his depth of edge, his power, his control...and also because of how he engages his entire body in interpreting his music. His footwork really comes to life because of this, but it is something he does throughout his program. I honestly cannot even put into words what I feel when I see Patrick skate. He was absolutely brilliant at nationals, and I can't wait to see him at 4CC and Worlds.
