Does anyone know what she's doing now? Is she doing Stars on Ice?

Spoilers everywhere, where you'd least expect them. :drama:

Thanks for sharing the article, though. ;)

Had no idea Kimmie took some time off and wanted to return to skating. I assumed she's been forced out because of all the injury problems.

The injury problems did force her to stop skating. But it sounds like she's healed up and wants to come back. Whether she can come back and remain uninjured remains to be seen though.

She was one of the skaters at Scott Hamilton's CARES fundraiser event in Cleveland earlier this month.

Kimmie was in the Pandora Holiday Moments on Ice here in Phoenix. The show will be on November 27, 2011 (NBC). The skating surface was very small due to the large stage for Manheim Steamroller and the on-ice seating. The jumps and choreography were limited for most of the skaters. Michael Weiss did attempt a lutz but ended up landing in the first row. Fortunately no injuries....

Hmm. I guess I read the article a little differently. Sounds to me like she's saying, "Watching competitions makes me want to compete, but I'm mostly happy to stick with the skating shows."

That's what I got from it, as well. I don't expect that we'll see her back.

Seriously? She's not coming back to eligible skating. She has issues on her axel, toe, sal, flip. She's just happy to be invited to show skating. Why would anyone think she'd go back to eligible? She's been out four years.

Because she's spent the time to fix her jump technique?

I've got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

I took it to mean that she was so injured that she couldn't even do shows regularly, but now she's healed and can skate in shows every weekend. She misses competition, but she's grateful she can still skate in shows without the pressure and injuries.

Well that would be good because I am a doubter that she could come back to competitive skating and match her previous achievements.
