Obertas was a disaster with all three of her partners. I don't know why her name is here.

I liked her with Slavnov in the 04/05 season a lot.

Wow Babilonia & Gardner over Rodnina & Zaitsev. Sorry but I had to ask about that one.

B&G were more elegant and more "artistic" in the usual way than R&Z. I thought these were supposed to be top 10s based on personal preference, not medal counts, otherwise R&Z should be #1 on everyone's list.

R&Z were among the 3 greatest, based on their Olympic record (2 OGMs each for R&Z, G&G, Belousova-Protopopov), but I never really got into their programs. The fact that they did not do a throw lowered them a bit in my opinion. I can't say that B&G were better than them; just more pleasant to watch, and they did two throws in their LP. My rankings are fairly loose; they could shift very easily (particularly between G&G, B&S, M&D).

I always thought such a technical-oriented team should have been doing throws at a time many other pairs were doing them, even if they werent required yet. Some of the top German pairs then were doing 3 or 4 throws in a program (not even allowed in more modern times).
