View Full Version : Question about Evan Lysacek?

Does anyone know if Evan really will be competing this year? I heard on Twitter that I guess he will announce in the next two weeks if he will compete or not? Wouldn't it be too late to compete now? I know the Nationals are coming up in January, is that where he'll be next? Does anyone have any infomation about him? I think he's a great skater and very cute, too.

I don't follow twitter, but if he competes it would be at U. S. Nationals in San Jose. He was assigned to Skate America from which he withdrew. He was also assigned to the French Grand Prix event which starts today. He also withdrew from that event.

As the reigning Olympic Gold medalist he does not have to qualify for U. S. Nationals by competing at any preliminary events. I don't know what the deadline is for filing any paper work which might be required to notify USFSA that he intends to compete at Nationals.

There is a thread dedicated to Evan in the Trash Can ( where more informal discussions take place)- sorry I am not sure how to link, but it's on the first page, called "Evan Lysacek- Determination to Win". They usually have all Evan news and updates. Good luck!
