I think that this recently retired French ice dance team deserve their own thread, even at this late date -- check out these interesting interviews:

Not that it's exactly "news", but here are an interview of freshly retired Blanc/Bouquet (http://www.annecy-infosports.com/?p=704)and another of their (former) coach Karine Arribert (http://www.annecy-infosports.com/?p=695).

Blanc/Bouquet's retirement was first posted in the French skating news thread back on March 31, 2011 -- you can re-read tribute posts to them and click on old program video links that were posted by fans starting here: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3127161&highlight=blanc+bouquet#post3127161

BlaBou were robbed. Or, rather, we were robbed. Not seing such voids on the ice anymore... When will we have another couple who will dare to do half of what they did...

That.

It's a shame that their originality and voids couldn't be coupled with a really strong technical coach. :(

Thanks for starting the thread Sylvia, they definitely deserve some respect.

It's a real shame that nothing came out of the Mysliveckova/Bouquet tryout. They would make a really voidy team.

OOO That would be good. I understand Myslivechkova has a partner again, though?
