Mini Sovereign's Lunch fashion review! The Telegraph promised tiaras, but there weren't any at the lunch. Maybe for the dinner tonight...

Best
Queen Rania of Jordan (http://www.daylife.com/photo/05yhfaw9T7fNY?__site=daylife&q=queen+rania) - When almost everyone else is wearing dress suits, she shows up wearing red and looking fabulous! (boring shoes though)

Sheika Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned of Qatar (http://www.daylife.com/photo/04qsdYmeAEbbo?__site=daylife&q=Queen+Elizabeth+II) - Glamorous!

On the fence
Princess Lalla Meryem of Morocco (http://www.daylife.com/photo/01whg0H4Bh3hr?__site=daylife&q=Lalla+Meryem) - She is wearing a traditional Moroccan dress, which is beautiful. BUT... it would improve my impression if she wouldn't hike the skirt up so far.

Princess Charlene of Monaco (http://www.daylife.com/photo/041T24Z6lP5GU?__site=daylife&q=princess+charlene) - Kinda boring, but I'm celebrating the fact that she's wearing an actual color. BTW, I don't think this outfit lends anything to the pregnancy rumor.

Worst
Queen Inkhosikati LaMbikiza of Swaziland (http://www.daylife.com/photo/00jB0qqf5xahA?__site=daylife&q=Inkhosikati+LaMbikiza) - I was going to comment on the dress, but then I saw her shoes. Oy...

Sophie, Countess of Wessex (http://www.daylife.com/photo/0eD66spexV2IB?__site=daylife&q=countess+of+wessex) - This is the best picture I've found so far, and it doesn't look promising even though I can't see all of it. WTF is she wearing?

Unfortunately, it looks like something more appropriate for a nun than a celebration!

Was just going to say it looks like Sophie's for the nunnery, but skatesindreams beat me to it.

Funny how some are dressed for a formal evening, some are in suits you might see at a ladies luncheon for ladies of a certain age, and only Rania of the photos you posted wearing something that looks "right."

GD Maria Teresa of Luxembourg looked pretty good, too. Only reason I kept her off is because she's basically wearing a tent and I know she can do so much better. And I refused to put the Queen on my list, because of course she looks good and would automatically make the best-dressed list. I chose to focus on others.

Queen Rania is the best dressed so far IMO. Sheikha Mozah usually doesn't disappoint and the color is lovely. However, satin does wrinkle something awful.

That little pleat/peplum of her jacket could be concealing a slight baby bump, couldn't it? At least she has the glimmer of a smile on her face, which is a nice change.

I'm hoping that if we get pictures of the dinner tonight, that that will shed more light on it, depending on what she wears. Maybe she'll try and distract us by wearing her water tiara.

She's wearing something that Princess Grace might have worn for a similar occasion.

are we sure that is the Queen of Swaziland and not some radio contest winner? those shoes are just no, no no. they make the rest of her look almost reasonable, almost

Rania looks like a Christmas decoration. She's so beautiful and classy, but her dressy-type clothing leaves much to be desired. She looks best in casual clothing.

I think Queen Rania looks much better than some. I mean look at the Queen of Swaziland.

The thing is, the Queen of Swaziland would have looked awesome had she worn simpler shoes and left off the feathers at the bottom of the dress. Because the main part of the dress itself is interesting yet appropriate.

Casual clothing certainly wouldn't be appropriate for this event.
This is one of the most difficult occasions to dress for; when you need something that's a bit more festive than a suit, not quite evening - and where "propriety" is an issue.

I was simply saying that she looks better in casual clothing than dressy clothing. She needs a new stylist for her dressy clothing.
